  • Bachelor party - 14 guys, MDW...

    Hi everyone

I’m coming out to LV from the UK on May 24 for a stag/bachelor party of 14 guys… as I’m the one who has been to Vegas before I’m tasked with organising the clubs and a pool party. Sucker. But I haven’t been to Vegas for Memorial Day before - I didn’t even really know it existed until recently (Memorial Day, not Vegas) and am surprised just how busy it’s going to be.

Our plan is to do two nights of clubbing (Thursday and Saturday) and a pool party on the Friday. We’re pretty set on Wet for the pool party – I’ve been before twice, only ended up unconscious on the concrete floor once, loved it both times – and have booked a cabana.

Not sure about clubs though. Ideally we want both to be tier 1 or 2. Thursday looking for either a really cheap minimum somewhere good – 2K ish, or a rapid entry somewhere (if we spend long in a queue I’ll get in trouble). Saturday we have a budget of maybe 3-4K min spend for BS, but really don’t want to get stuck on a bad table – any recommendations? Been to XS, Tryst and Marquee in the past and loved them all but open to any recommendations.

Or if you have any different thoughts or think my budget’s too tight, just let me know… thanks very much

3-4k at big clubs like XS or marquee will get you shit tables over MDW.

With your budget on that weekend I would certainly suggest going for a tier 2... it will be just as busy as a tier 1 becaue of MDW and your dollar will go further.

I've always liked PURE, and Thomas Gorman can usually setup a pretty good deal (although given the holiday that might not be the case). Lots of different rooms, outside area, and its location in Ceaser's is nice for popping out and in for this or that.

As far as the budget goes with 14 guys here is how I see it:
14 guys / 3 guys per bottle = 4.6 bottles... host might let 4 bottles fly, I would expect to need 5... that will put you at around $3250 for bottles/tax/tip to waitress. Then if you want a fairly good table I would think it'll take $500+ to the host on a holiday to get that... plus your security tips would put you at right around $5k. I wouldn't expect to be spending less than that.

Thanks guys - this was helpful. I've actually downgraded the group's expectations and we're now hoping to go for Tryst on the Thursday and Vanity on the Saturday night. If anyone has any other thoughts, let me know... thanks

I think that's a good move. Did you OR are you going to try for the Goose/Moet deal at Tryst on Thursday?
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Anthony - I was trading texts with a host at Tryst yesterday about an upcoming trip (non-holiday weekend). I asked about the Moet deal for a two bottle table and got no reply from the host (the text conversation ended). I will re-text the host tomorrow. What's the protocol - is there a specific host tip? You took care of me at Tryst last summer and gave me the Moet deal, but I do not remember the host tip.

For Marquee Saturday MDW for Above and Beyond, the 3-4k would be a patio table.
