Anyone good for XS seems shady here vs south beach.
you go to a host because thats who's going to take care of you all night, who's going to seat you at a table, and who will choose where you sit. the hosts run the door and the club. like any sales job hosts have a quota... you're not helping them by calling the club or going up to the club and asking for a table so why would they help you. call ins and walk ups are considered that and no one gets credit. I send all of my tables to Bobby Yeadon at XS and Tryst. 708-714-0280. i use to work there so i send a lot over to him and he takes very good care of my clients. Tell him i referred you and he will take care of you. he's a good friend.

Anthony, how far in advance should we contact hosts for tables? I typically (at least on the last 3 trips) contacted the host a week out from my trip. I have noticed folks on this message board start the process much earlier, some as early as 4 weeks out. I haven't contacted hosts earlier than a week out because I don't regard a table "reservation" as any more than a request for a table.

1-4 weeks. its just your preference and how OCD you are. no more than a month in advance.

I think it also depends on your relationship with a host. If you and the host are tight, then you might not need as long of a time. I've been told by some hosts that I only need to contact them 2 days in advance.

As well, I also inform hosts that are referred to me by other hosts that I don't know or haven't met something like "Hi. I was referred to you by "_____". He told me to talk to you about (getting a table, guest list, etc.) at "_____". That sometimes helps, at least for me.

I'm guessing you want to contact them earlier if it will be a busy weekend. Also does anyone have a contact for Chateau and Pure?

For Pure, I can't say enough good things about Chris Trillo. He also works at Wet and always takes good care of my groups and everybody I send him.

His number is 702-494-7979. Please let him know I sent you.
