Just to clear the air a bit, I'd like to point out the host listed on the host page are generally the most senior, widely connected, largest network of clientele hosts. They're generally the main/top hosts at the venue and recieve hundreds upon hundreds of texts/emails etc a day and half or more are longterm return clients, work-related emails, questions upon questions, etc.

Granted, yes they are very busy, and yes every client is important, these people (ex. Larson) are also the Director of VIP Services and the boss of multiple other hosts and handle every single table reservations that goes through the club everyday.

If they don't get back to your email right away or the same day, I doubt they are neglecting you. They are simply handling whats in front of them for the current night/weekend ahead of them. Especially for emails with subject line is "MDW 2012 Table Prices" or "Coming to Vegas in August". Those are obvioulsy dates which for people that work the vegas nightlife all week every night are very far away, and honestly we won't know the exact pricing for your given group till a couple weeks before anyways.

Generally, the hosts/promoters that post regularly, including myself, are small fries in comparison to the people listed as the top host. We're able to get back to you quicker and more accurately within the same day simply because we have far less on our plate then the top of the food chain guys.

Sorry for the long post, just want to clear up the situation from our end and get rid of any doubt or feeling of neglect.

P.S. Andrew Kahn's new to the forum and unaware of the policies, but he's actually my #1 host for Hyde Bellagio and I use him for all my personal referrals. Also, he's been with SBE for a very long time.

And yes, texting will always get our attention faster then emailing. It more personal then email and shows you probably got our number from someone or somewhere we know.
i can name 2 Junior Hosts that are on the main page. They may be well know, but not most Senior. Everything is relative. KNOWING (<--Key word) the boss may help in some cases, but even managers will respect minimums and table locations.

Yes, emails with dates far in the future, all though important, are typically regarded last. Send emails, at most, 1 month in advance. Texting or calling is much better.

I post regularly and by no means do i consider myself a "small fry" in vegas. However, i have grown with this board, become friends with a lot of the members, and have made posting here a daily routine, like Mike T, Chris Traer, Joey and Cliff Orr etc. I don't need to self promote anymore. People here do that for me. Im here because i enjoy JC and the people on it.

I've done both text and email hosts. At the end of the day, though, for all you hosts out there. This should be about what is most convenient for the customer and not for you. If a customer prefers email, then the host should be equally responsive and helpful. Especially because email allows for more in depth discussion and explanation about the deal being worked out.

WE are the ones spending massive amounts of money to keep these clubs filled and get the hosts paid so it should be about how WE prefer setting something up. Just saying.

For me they are both the same. Cant see much of a difference between emailing and texting. Sometimes it takes me a few hours to get back to a client. This is because I sleep to around 1-2 pm every day. Yes i know it, I am a vampire. Keep that in mind. If you are contacting a host early in the AM, it may take a few to get back to you.

same for me. its rare that i will type an email up on my computer. Most of the time i do it on my phone so its just like a text message. Remember, time zones factor into the equation as well. and yes, oddly enough we do sleep. i don't know about other hosts, but I'm way too OCD to have icons on my blackberry so i get back to email and texts ASAP. there will be the occasion where I'm super hung over and i can give a fuck less about the outside world while I'm curled up in a little ball, in the dark feeling bad for myself... but ill get to you after i arise from the dead.

i dont think ive ever waited longer than a day to get a response. i ALWAYS text though, and always take into consideration the day of the week (i try to text during the slower days), sleep times for hosts, how far out (i usually reach out 1 week, 2 weeks max), etc. Luckily im on the west coast so our time zones are the same
