Tier 1/Tier2/Tier 3 Clubs

So this is our proposed lineup for the weekend of May 18th. Board members let me know what you think....

Thursday - Liquid (General Admission)
Thursday Night - Tao (General Admission)
Friday - Wet Republic Hot 100 Contest (Daybed)
Friday Night - 1 Oak (Bottle Service)
Saturday - Wet Republic/Marquee Dayclub (General Admission)
Saturday Night - Marquee (General Admission)
Sunday - REST!!
Sunday Night - The Bank

250-300 that post/read this board will be at the AOD festivities that weekend and will be at most of the same clubs as you, so I suspect your plan will receive lots of support.

There was a recent thread asking the same question.

Here were 2 responses:

IMO, based on my experience last 12 months and watching the popularity and what DJs/performers at each club lately.

Tier 1 Marquee, Surrender, XS
Tier 1.5 Haze, 1Oak, Tryst, Bank, Lavo, Tao

Tier 2 are Chateau, Pure, and Rain.

Tier 3 would be Gallery, Vanity, LAX


FYI Blush and Studio 54 is closed already.

Basically the Tier 1 clubs are the ones with the top DJ's that everyone is trying to hit.

That said, the list above is fairly accurate though it doesn't list some of the even smaller venues like Gold lounge etc, where fun and deals can still be had.

My list would be as follows:

Tier 1: XS, Marquee, Tao, Tryst, Surrender.

Tier 2: *Pure, *The Bank, *1OAK, LAVO, LAX, Gallery, Vanity, Rain, Haze, Hyde.

Tier 3: Ghost, Moon, Crown, Gold Lounge, Tabu Ultra Lounge

*If I had a 1.5 they would be it.

For thursday ur good...but hit the concierge in Venetian and ask for a guest pass to Tao...or buy an advanced pass from Vegas.com
Why no tier 1 on Friday night?

So people consider XS better than Tryst? Is it mostly because of the size?

Tier 2: The Bank, 1OAK, Chateau
Tier 3: Pure, Moon, Haze, Palms, etc.

I don't think Pure gets as much credit as it deserves.

I would put it in Tier 1A just after XS, Marquee, Tao.

Pure is HUGE and really nice looking. It's open almost every night, so if you go on an off night then you can get the wrong impression. But Tue, Fri, Sat are Hot.

I"m no expert in all of the clubs. And I havent been on all within the last 6 months to really make a proper review. But IMO, Haze is above Chateau. XS has a way bigger lineup of DJs than Tryst, thats why I would say its better.

You would have to put clubs that pull in celebrities, known DJs, singers, etc up in the Tier 1/2.

Ones that get put in Tier3 are clubs that just dont have the marketing, the lineup, and money being pumped into the place. Its like theyre just running on their own for just being there. Almost to the same budget as a casino lounge would have. Relying on casino/hotel patrons that happen to just be there or walk pass by it.

I think the thing with Pure as well is I don't see a lot of EDM acts going there which is what's getting marketed huge right now. It's a lot of celebutantes and DJ sets. I don't have any problem with that. It's what they're marketing.

Different sets of friends went to Pure over the past year and remarked it was an older crowd. These different sets of friends are all in their late-20s/early-30s, so I don't know what old means to them.

Considering it's getting up there in age (similar to Tryst & Tao), I think it's still going strong.

Keep in mind that this forum is more keen on keeping up with what's fresh and is likely more willing to splurge on bottles and daybeds and be in the know about deals.

the fact of the matter is this; if you're looking to do bottles on a friday or saturday, i think you look at two factors only: 1. what type of music is your group into?; 2. when you decide on music, do you want to get the best deal or be in the hottest spot? on a friday or saturday, pretty much everywhere is gonna be poppin. people from out of town, especially those not from a big city, will be happy most likely at any of the larger well-known clubs. it's all just a matter of preference. like universal said, make a decision and don't look back. you will have a good time!

The other way to look at it to is (which is what some of my friends look at: where are hottest girls that they fancy (some of my friends like only Asians, I personally don't care and just want music and get drank, which really is anywhere). But, if you're the one in command, then do what "you" want to do.

Agreed. Answer these questions and you'll know.

1)What are you willing to spend and what are you expecting in return?
2)What's your music preference?
3)What type of crowd do you prefer to be surrounded by?
