I'm heading down to Vegas for MDW and have been searching on this forum about if guys are ok to wear a button up collared short sleeve shirt? I've got a few nice ones from Paul Smith, Diesel, G-Star, cool designs, some plaid. Just curious if the button up shirt had to be long sleeve or not?

nope no long sleeve requirement, short is ok and a collar a good thing.

As far as I know, as long as you have a collar you're good to go. I've worn short sleeve button ups before (years ago, but I don't think that's changed).

I always see lots of guys in short sleeve button up shirts so I'm sure it's fine.

I didn't used to like this look. I thought it seemed wrong to me. I always figured if you roll up your sleeves you might as well get a short sleeve and when you unrolled them the sleeve was all wrinkled. But I've seen more and more long sleeve shirts with that button on the side to keep rolled up, I guess that's a new trend.

I also prefer this look. In my eyes, it looks totally different than a short sleeve. And I don't roll up high enough to use that button on the side, but my arms are kind of long. This style also allows me to buy shirts that aren't "tall" size since I don't have to worry about the sleeve length.

I agree with the collared short sleeve shirt or long sleeved with rolled up sleeves.
I'm always surprised to see guys inside a club with a suit jacket on or even a vest. I know that some jackets are very light material.. but man it gets freaking hot in there..

I like the MK2 shirts specifically because I can roll them up if I want to.

Just curious, but if you get bottle service at a club is the dress code a little more relaxed?

I was wondering if you could get away with a fitted long sleeve t-shirt like this: http://www.google.co.uk/url?source=i...c-SwHPv1fTcIew

Maybe...one of the guys in my group had border line shoes and they didn't give it a second look on the way in. However, I wouldn't risk it. Stick with a collared shirt and nice dress shoes. You'll want to look good for other reasons once you're inside anyway
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Its problably not worth risking it. I would recomend a collared shirt. No offense but with that shirt on people might get you confused with a busboy.

No joke. I have saw dudes in black suits get approached by people looking for the bathroom, exit, etc..... They were mistaken for security guards.

You're doing it wrong if you aren't wearing a deep V neck down to your navel.
