I was curious what everybody's top 3 favorite clubs are and why?

  • #2
TO me these 3 are the top and in their own way. Each has their own goods and bads for me.

** Surrender(when the outside is open). Because it opens up to such a bigger space. Easy to walk into the room, at the back edge and still feel like being part of the floor. The bar right outside the room is super easy to get to. And if its packed there, you can go to the other bar where the table games are.
If you're tired, theres plenty of places to sit down. Bathroom is easy access too. Only thing that is a neg for me is that you have to be within that club floor space for the music to be really good. It doesnt sound all that in the gambling area and in the cabanas. The table placement inside is so-so. Feels like the bar inside should be taken away to give more room for tables on that side. It seems like it would make the whole floor better with table space than a bar.

** Marquee: The lights and the sound is super sick. The way the tables are setup on the main floor makes you feel part of everything. Even being on the next section back is still good. The only table area I dont like is when we got put into the back by the long bar going towards the bathroom. Couldnt see anything from that corner.
The lineup is always sick at Marquee so its almost guaranteed a good night out at that club.
The neg is when it gets super packed. You can barely move and at times they werent letting guys on the dance floor area. You really are limited on where to go.

** XS: Layout is similar to Marquee as far as how the tables all circle around the dance floor. I believe the dance floor is bigger at XS too than Marquee. Only thing is, there are less places to go when you're not with a table here. The outside is smaller from what I remember.

Overall, all 3 pretty much plays similar music and always has the best EDM DJs in town. So you cant go wrong with either one if you're into that music and vibe.

I am curious about Surrender, you said plenty of places to sit. Is this tables for bottles or general seating? I have never been there but this is something that would be good for my group considering one of the guys has a bad hip right now. So GA can be tough at a lot of clubs. I just realized my post did not mention top 3 clubs so I am sorry for getting off course.

The main floor of Surrender is all Tables so you obviously have to get bottles there. There are tables that are reserved and cabanas outside as well. If worse case your friend has to sit down, there are planters everywhere. The edges of where those plants/trees have room where you can sit for a bit.

I agree with Marquee, XS and Surrender being the top 3. Been to all of them multiple times and always top notch time. Their residency acts, club layout, sound/visual systems distinguishes them from the other clubs. After this top three IMO you can line-up Tryst, Tao and Haze. Haven't been to 1OAK or Hyde yet so no comments on these venues yet.
