  • How much in advance to start contacting hosts?

If I'm planning a party out in June, but the major tier-1 clubs don't even know who their DJs will be, is it too soon to start talking to hosts? Will they just give me a generic price until the time comes nearer?

I have also read that some of you just go the day of. Is that too risky? I'm thinking about getting BS on a Fri or Sat night at XS for specifics.

Ask all of your. "Planning" questions here then contact a host 1-2 weeks in advance
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Like Chuck said 1 to 2 weeks is fine. I noticed some wait till day of or when they arrive, but they might have stronger relationships with hosts and thus probably not nervous about plans falling through. Plus some on here can get it cheaper day of if tables aren't sold out. I have not rolled those dice with my trips. I probably start texting hosts a little earlier than some, but it is because I am so damn excited to get out there.

1 to 2 weeks keeping in mind it can change up to the day, my minimum at lavo tripled day of cause kris humphries was having bachelor party there (that worked out well) so pays to have back ups, contacted host at xs that day and got decent table at price was originally quoted for at lavo
