I’m going to be in town for EDC Weekend for a bachelor party. I didn’t know this before booking flights and just found out recently. How should this change my plans, if at all?

The original plan was couple of pool parties and then hitting the major clubs each night.

Does traditional Vegas daylife/nightlife become quieter because everybody is at EDC?

Should we be planning a trip to EDC into our schedule to replace a pool/night?

Do pool/club minimums go up/down because of it?

Maybe we should have an EDC main thread?

EDC has only been in Vegas one year, so I don't know if the impact on day/night life is REALLY known. I don't think they sell one day passes so you'd have to be all in for the three days. Check Insomianc's site for dates on the next ticket drop. First round was $380 per person I believe.

I was there last year when edc first moved over from Vegas but didn't attend edc, friends did though. Vegas day life is def more poppin' cause edc goes from 7pm-8am so everyone goes to the pool parties to kill time if they decide not to rest/sleep.

Nightlife I wouldn't say is that much more quiet than a normal weekend. It is vegas after all and not everyone goes there just for edc. It might be a bit easier/faster for people to get into clubs.

You def don't need to plan edc into your itinerary if you weren't already planning to go in the first place. And I do believe dayclub minimums do go up as everyone is on the strip at that time rather than edc. Clubs at night will prob stay the same.

One thing I didnt see you mention is hotel, if you haven't already booked your room I would get on that ASAP as prices will only go higher till rooms are sold out.

This is pretty sick, cause I was already going that week, and noticing that many hotels were already more expensive than usual due to the Manny Pacquiao fight. Didnt even know about EDC til recently....gonna be a busy weekend.

for Fri+Sat nights too? Good rate. We're at MGM, some of us with good comps got good rates, but a couple of other friends are at about $200/night thanks to Pacman, and I guess EDC too.

There will be single day passes, they just aren't on sale yet (probably hoping to sell more 3-day passes):

And the 3-day pass is only $300 or so with fees if you buy it now, and was like $230 at the first drop. (and even cheaper if you bought at one of the other Insomniac events... Escape From Wonderland I think?)

a lot of the djs will be playing at the clubs both daytime and nightime... for instance Erick Morillo is at EDC that friday and Tao the next night...

since you are in town for a bachelor party i'd say just stick with the clubs... you'll be happy with the dj talent....
