So I'm in LA now and I checked my luggage. Clothes are going to def need to be pressed. Do the hotels (Cosmo) offer this service or should I hunt around for a cleaners near by? I'm not trying to iron or steam things myself because I'm not to be trusted with household appliances.
Getting clothes pressed on the strip?

I know Elara did. They had a 30 min turn around on just pressed and 1 day on dry cleaning. I would imagine all the hotels have something similar. I think it was like 7$. Best bet, call and ask.Originally posted by Cartel View PostSo I'm in LA now and I checked my luggage. Clothes are going to def need to be pressed. You can probably find it cheaper at a local dry-cleaner, but it probably won't be worth the hassle/time. Every strip resort I've stayed at had drycleaning/pressing/laundry service: Venetian, Palazzo, MGM, Mirage, WynnCoreUpcoming Vegas Trips:

The bigger question is why you and an iron don't get along. Sounds like an interesting back story.
I though hate hotel irons because they seem to spew water anytime I try to use the steaming function. I have half a mind to bring my own iron. But, I never thought about just having the hotel iron it for me.Operation Saddle Bags

No real back story just dont do well with household appliances lol. Im pretty sure i have nuked many appliances or nuked something with them. Last time I tried ironing I burned a shirt or never felt happy with how the clothes looked. I just bought a steamer though so I won't have to worry about it.

Jae I have that happen to me too, my routine is to empty the iron of any water & just use starch & an empty iron, seems safer.Originally posted by darksideofjae View PostThe bigger question is why you and an iron don't get along. Sounds like an interesting back story.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I think hotel irons have a safety timer built in just in case you leave it plugged in and leave your room. I've noticed some irons dump all the water out via a small hole once it's cooled down.Originally posted by GP7787 View PostHella true about the hotel irons!Originally posted by darksideofjae View PostThe bigger question is why you and an iron don't get along. Over the years of hotel stays and iron fails, lol. I've figured you have a small window where the iron works best. Plug it in, let it sit for 2-3min on whatever setting you need(you might hear a little click when it's ready), lay it flat on the ironing board for 5-10sec and let a few puffs of steam shoot out so there are no air bubbles in the main line(cause of water spurting out), run the iron across the board to make sure iron isn't leaking or melting(I've had an iron ruin a shirt cause the last person used it on something synthetic and it melted on and transferred to my shirt). If you hear a small click again the iron is powering down and you might have to wait a bit till it reheats again cause sometime water will spurt out then too.
Hope this helps someone out. Lol, I never even thought of sending out to press b4. I know they offer it at Skylofts, but I didn't think of it at any other hotel. Might need to give it a shot to maximize my time out of the room.2013 Trips:

Good advice...You can be sure that most resorts have some sort of press service. I know for sure Wynn does. If you stay at the Tower Suites @ Wynn or Encore they give you a max of four complimentary presses a day! I stayed @ the Tower Suites and never took advantage! When we go in August I will strongly consider if the price is decent.Originally posted by delro View PostI know exactly what you're talking about. I've had my clothes pressed while in Vegas. It's a worthwhile service IMO if you don't' mind spending the money. (Saves time for preparing). They typically need the clothes early in the day for a PM turnaround (I think 10AM to be returned by 6PM) and they will charge you extra for same day (less than 4 hours) turnaround. My advice would be to send them in as soon as you check in. Have them shine your shoes too while you're at it.That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

Las Vegas was good. Hell of a ship, hell of a crew.
