MDW @ the Cosmo & Marquee

I have been a lurker on JC for over a year now and decided to finally join. Everyone's posts have been a great help for planning my own Vegas trips with more than enough advice -thank you to all. Which leads me to: MDW.

I decided to do MDW after finding the great steal you can get on Cosmo rooms (nearly 50% off!). I have always wanted to stay there and decided this is the time to do it. Especially with the MDW events they are throwing.

My game plan:
I booked a wrap-around terrace suite with a connecting terrace suite. From what I understand, that should provide me with plenty of room for our group (5M/5F). We all are very, shall I say, 'experienced', when it comes to partying, can all pull our own weight, and bring something to the table. With 5 days and 4 nights in Vegas this is not amateur event. That being said, I expect the number of girls in our group to at least double throughout the weekend, making it easier to get into clubs and navigate through lines. From my understanding, MDW would be considered a 'special event' and I am wondering if hotel guest at the Cosmo receive comp'd entry to the Marquee? Also, will there be a separate hotel line for guests? I am trying to figure if we can rely on that (my gut is telling me no) or if we should purchase pre-sale tickets? We will be getting service for one of the day parties for sure, but not every one of them. To me, its not needed. I have a keen ability to meet people and make friends and like to adventure throughout the party. I feel like having a table tends to anchor me in one spot. Also, does do they allow re-entry to the club if you leave without waiting in line again?

As far as the room goes, I am under the impression to request an East tower connecting room ending in 73 above floor 30. I plan to sandwich a $100 to make this happen. Are there any other upgrades I should be asking for? I think a Lanai suite request would be out of the question as this being MDW. However I am willing to raise my investment if this is at all possible. Has anybody had any luck with this or know of any other suites available?

Any advice and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there are any Marquee hosts that would like some business, PM me.

Marquee is associated with Marriott properties who do a price match +25% on ANY lower advertised rate. With the promotion they are currently having for stay 4 pay 3, you essentially get 25% off that way, plus an additional 25%. Book it directly through Marriott.com and then submit a price match request for another site (I used BookIt.com). You will hear back in a few hours that they have approved your request. Such a great find.

if you dont do BS go for the presale tickets as we already did - saves you a lot of money because prices keep getting higher and higher the more you wait

if you want to spend the whole we from friday to monday at marquee you may want to check out their wristbands which are on sale now - they give you unlimited access to marquee day/nightclub throughout the weekend.

this is not an amateur event - well played im going for the whole experience as well - 7days party vegas (but im thinking about a survival plan...)

Just the answers I needed. I purchased the pre-pre-sale tickets last week at 15% off just in case. Looks like that was a good decision. I figured I could always sell them if something better comes up. We aren't doing all the events, just most, so the wristbands from I hear wont be beneficial to us. I think staying at the Cosmo and going to the Marquee does have its advantages. Something about being so close to your room adds a whole other element to the scene. We did this a few months ago at the Encore/ XS and it amplified the night tenfold. Going with the same strategy this weekend.

yeah ebc will make a seperate announcement for their sunday lineup... you can already buy the tickets on wantickets.com, it just says "special guests"

i think there will probably be at least 2djs spinnin on sunday since the price is the same as for the event on saturday and higher as all the events where only 1 dj is there

I will be there for 6 nights. 5/23-5/29. Definately coming up with a budget saving plan.

For tickets bought through Marquee's website, they always work the same way - go to will call on the ground floor near the elevators, show ID, pick up physical/hard tickets.

If you needed to sell them, you would need to go to will call, and then re-sell the hard tickets - they don't have anyones name on them.

I've never tried calling will call and asking them to switch your name to someone else, but I doubt they'd do it since they request the credit card you used to pay for the tickets when they release them.
