  • Rok Club host?

So the Stag is Tuesday, and one of the guests birthday is Friday, and for some reason he seems set on going to RoK club. (We are all hoping it actually plays a little rock music, but aren't keeping fingers crossed)-

Anyone have a contact for here? Funds a re going to be a little dry by this point, so maybe it isn't such a bad option to finish the trip with.

They played mostly rap/hip hop music when I was there. The host I used name is Craig. He was from my hometown actually, thats how I got hooked up with him. Cool guy. Let me know if you want me to PM you his phone number (or at least it was his phone number in 2011 when I was last in vegas).

Then shouldn't they call the bar Hip Hopz or something?

That info knocks that local off the list. Anyone have other suggestions?

I honestly don't know of any clubs that play rock music. I'd say 90% of the clubs that I've been to play EDM and the other 10% play rap/hip hop/top 40 stuff.

Maybe there are some bars/lounges that play rock music but I'm not sure.

Bars and Lounges are fine too. Considering his favorite movie is "Fubar", its safe to say he likes his AC/DC. thanks people.

Rockhouse is top 40 too. You guys might enjoy just hitting up East Fremont downtown that night. There are 4 or 5 bar / clubs down there that you can bounce between. Drinks are cheaper, rarely any lines, cover is like $5 (if any), and Beauty Bar has live rock music on some nights.

Bonus: You can get drunk and wander through the downtown casinos.

If you're really into rock and don't have that much money left, try the Double Down Saloon, just a couple blocks away from the Hard Rock. They have cheap drinks, bacon martinis, ass juice (way better than it sounds), and bands. Don't worry about dress code, a cover or having to get a host because it's not that kind of place. It's a bit on the punk side, but if that's not your style at the time, wander through the Hard Rock, where different kinds of rock music are blasted throughout the casino and that center bar.

Personally, I like rock too, but clubs on the strip don't really do it or promote it that much. I don't mind as they are different styles. When I go to a show, I want to be in GA, not VIP; and usually pound a few beers before jumping in the pit. It seems like it would be a bit harder for a real rock club on the strip to compete for the clubgoers who will spend lots of cash.
                  I just don't give a shit.
