  • Those in the know: 86'd/banned?

So a friend of mine was an idiot and got banned from Marquee and Cosmo. Is he really banned for life or do they recycle everything in six months? Of all the places to get banned, he had to do it at Marquee, lol.

Technically, a ban is a ban. But it ultimately depends on how memorable his ban was. If he stripped naked, lit himself on fire, and swung from a chandelier...odds are they will remember him and stick to it.

If he got drunk and was mouthy to a waitress, I doubt his photo is exactly plastered in the security break room.

Was a great night though, and the doc says the burns are healing nicely

Was he banned from the nightclub or the entire property?Honestly, unless you do something stupid again and give them a reason to run your ID, you can probably go back.

The only thing I would caution against is, in the event that his information was taken by someone involved in the security operations at the club, I'd avoid making any room reservations under his name or playing in the casino with a player's club card that has his information tied to it.

Having worked in the industry here on the east coast and having been banned myself, if his scenario resulted in the above, there are definitely comments on his account noting what happened and that there is an active ban.

Thanks guys. No, not a fight, nothing memorable, but just wanted to make sure Cosmo didn't have facial recognition cameras or something crazy-CIA-like.

A couple of weeks back I got '86'd' from MGM properties for literally straying into the table areas at The Bank nightclub. Last night in Vegas, bought an open bar general admission ticket. Went to the dance floor, it was heaving. A rope divided the dance floor to the Table areas. I got permission off 2 people to go to their table, stayed there for a good 20 minutes talking. Then a random dude comes up to me and tells me to get out. I was baffled and asked him why. Next thing i know, 2 bouncers come along and take me out. I assumed i'd just get kicked out the club ( as usually is done in the UK for MUCH WORSE things than that), but no, i got taken to a room, pictures taken of myself and ID. escorted out, told im banned from all MGM properties and can appeal after 6 months. I was literally stunned in silence absolutely gobsmacked hahaha ! Extreme isn't even the word !! I had no idea what hotels MGM owned, etc. It was 4am, i walked back to Aria, slept, then checked out the hotel 6 hours later and got my flight to get the hell out of there. When i arrived back home, i done my research. Called up the director of security at bellagio, and in the report stated i got into a fight ( which can be classified as a push, touching, or more). I laughed down the phone as none of that even happened. And he funnily agreed because he said if there was a fight police would have been called. NO police was called or present, i didn't resist, i co-operated fully. And i ended up getting 86'd. Thats how life goes i suppose !

A few years ago I got kicked out of the Artisan for peeing off the outside staircase! The one near the patio. I've been back since with no problems
