  • What's next in Vegas nightlife?

The 1OAK thread got me thinking.
Vegas clubs are crowded. Really crowded. Unless you have a table it is impossible to move / dance / get a drink.
Table service is worth it but at some point people will realize that spending $500 for a $35 bottle of booze is kinda silly. (Yeah - I know about the "value" of table service. I won't consider going out to a club without it. For now)
My guess is that 1 of 2 things will happen-
    1. A Mega-Mega Club will open up and provide plenty of room. Maybe charge a pretty high cover but only the High-High-High Rollers (invited Guests / Celebrities) get bottle service. No more dudes maxing out their credit cards to act VIP.
    2. Backlash - People will find something else to do where they dont have be be squished like sardines while some dude in a "Security" shirt with a flashlight yells at you to "CLEAR THE AISLES" all night long.

Meh. People pay for the experience and Vegas is a glamorous and luxurious city so unless Vegas as a whole becomes "cheap" I don't see the nightclubs changing any time soon. People come here to spend money and make bad decisions.
I strongly disagree with the whole "if you don't have a table you won't have fun". I can have fun wherever I am as long as I am around fun people.

I personally don't think the clubs need to change. They make millions of dollars doing what they do so I'm guessing they won't. I think the people that don't like them should go somewhere else. If you do not like a crowded, expensive, loud, dark place then you should go home and not complain about it not being fun. It was you who wasn't fun, not the club.

I've been to a lot of clubs in my life and many times to each. Bottle service and without. Guess what? I've never, in my whole life, had a bad time. Why? My only objective was to dance, meet interesting people and have fun. I accomplish that every time. Every single time. Change your attitude or go home, but leave my clubs alone.

nightlife has always progressed in some fashion, so yeah, there will eventually be changes. no idea what, though.

I have never done bottle service. I see the positives of it but have never needed it to have a great time. Its all about getting out and enjoying the night. Just my two cents.

I strongly believe that having a good time regardless of table service or not really depends on your mindset and people you are rolling with. If you start thinking about how crowded it will get in the club, how much will be drinks at the bar, how security will act, how expensive bottles are, how hot will get in there etc.. before you even get there most likely you will not going to have a good time, no matter if you are getting bottles or not. And I seen how true is this many times personally.

Also if people you are rolling with people who are constantly thinking or talking about all of these things I mentioned above and just being grumpy about it, believe me it brings you down too.

Far as how Vegas nightlife will be in the future, you never know, that depends on what's on high demand, what consumers wants, what's popular or what's trending at that time. I am pretty sure few years back if you asked to anyone who is in the Vegas nightlife scene regarding to how huge EDM and DJs will get in the future at Vegas clubs, they couldn't tell you it was gonna be on the level it is right now.

It's already started. The new trend is bringing in live top 40 entertainment and headlining DJ residents. Somewhat blending concerts and live entertainment into the mix. That will be the case for the next 2 - 3 years, at least.

In terms of a revolt of any kind, I don't really see it happening anytime soon. There are plenty of Tier 2 and Tier 3 nightclubs to cater to customers who want deals and less crowds. Obviously, the fact that those venues have less crowds means they aren't making a dent in the busier nightclubs.

Concerts for sure. Pre-sale tix are the best way to get in to clubs without BS. Im avoiding the concerts. It not for me, but it seems to be working for them.

I seem to think we had a slight discussion on this topic last night.
