First Timer - question

Hey everyone, so i've been reading all the different posts on here, trying to prepare for my first real weekend in Vegas but I still have a question.

So first of all, I'm going with a group of 5 girls and one guy

We're thinking about contacting a host to get on the list at the bank since a bunch of friends we're meeting have a table there on Friday night. My question is, if we work with a host just to get us on the list, how much would a proper tip be? I'm not about to piss anyone off, and the others in my group have no idea about tipping so I want to do it right.

With that kind of girl-guy ratio, you should be able to get on the guest list and get in for free.

unless he is meeting you and walking you in, I don't see the point in tipping if you're gonna have to stand in the GL line. Especially at the bank which there is no real line just a ball of people.

Agreed...I assumed the host would walk them in.

yah i'm hoping they walk us in, the main reason i was going to contact a host was so we could try and skip the waiting in line

I was in vegas and the ratio was me and 4 girls...didn't pay anything over 4 nights in vegas. Let's just hope you're the beast and they're the beauties.

IMO--Text the host, tell him your ratio 5F/1M, just flat out ask if he can get your group in expeditiously for a "$200 handshake". He'll let you know either yes or no.

No, no no. $200 is WAY too much for a walk-in like this, sorry J.

How many people on the table already? You might be able to just get in on that and tell your friends you won't drink or whatever. As long as the girls are good looking, I think $10 a head is fine to get a "hosted" walk-in. Make sure you tell the Host you're meeting up with a table too.
