Host Queston - Expectations, Loyality.

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to get feedback, opinions on the scenario below, which myself and a few friends are in. I will not name names, clubs etc.

Scenario.

This is what my friends and I have spent at a club and pool party, all through one host, who has been good to deal with.

August 2011:
Club (Sat)- min 5k
Daytime - min 2k

Oct 2011:
Club(Sat) - min 8k
daytime - 3k

April 2012 - up coming, approx what we will spend.
Club(sat) - min 7k
Club (Mon) - min 4k
Daytime - min 5k

As you can see, we have spent 18k and will be spending another 16k, for a total of 34k, all at one club , with one host Not including tips for the host.

My question is in APril, everyone knows there are some big name DJ's opening up pool parties and have heard some outrageous cabana prices. If we have spent all this through one host and been loyal to this host, I think it's reasonable to expect that the host will not give us the same price as someone else (ex. lets say cabana's are going for 10k, for us 7k), but will give us deal for being loyal to him and the club and being repeat customers.

Am I totally wrong for expecting this, should they just give it for the highest price, because they know they can get it. If that's the case, I see no reason of being loyal to one host, but just reach out to everyone.

My uniformed and posted at 1:30 am opinion is that you might get slower minimum if you are known for going over your min anyway. If you only spen to the min, then don't expect a deal on an opening weekend.

it sounds like you have been going to 1 of 2 places. either marquee or ebc-surrender. you have spent a ton of money and you are due for a deal. i would ask the host personally to work with you and break it down for him like you have broken down for us. if he can't get you somewhat of a deal then he is not a good host. you are a top 10 client for this guy and he needs to fight for you. if he is not willing to do this maybe it is time to shop around. however, you need to inform him that you are looking for a below average minimum bc of the money you have already spent and the loyalty you have already displayed.

Do hosts at most clubs have two sets of prices: (i.e. 1 price for normal clients and 2 prices for high valued customers?) How much discretion do most hosts have in adjusting the minimum's?

You have spent 18K in one year with said host and thats not including their tip. You dont provide many details as to how many people, what the tip was ect. (and you dont have to) but maybe the bottle min was lower or you got a B1G1 deal one night or your tips have been below average. Not to mention that 18K may seem like a lot to you but in Vegas, its not. Said host may have guys that come every other month and drop 20K+, it happens im sure. In the end I would talk to him and be honest, im sure hes not the only host out there if you're not happy.

Just see what he can do for you! Most of the time minimums can't be lowered at these mega clubs. But since you are such a great return client exceptions can and should be made occasionally.

one thing I've been curious about - I know individual hosts will have a feel for how much business you've done with them and provide service accordingly, but does the company track/care about this? So if, for example, you use different hosts for different clubs in the same group (say light or tao), does that ever get aggregrated in a customer DB? If so, what sort of total spend level before you get on the radar, if ever?

Rescue - I can supply some more info. Have not asked for the pricing yet. Lately it has been a large group of guys for bachelor parties (10-15). No B1Gi free deals, we have never asked for any discount before and usually the tables are near the dancefloor. As for tipping, the host has been tipped very well, accordingly to the # of bottles etc. Hence we always get a good booth.

It's not that i am not happy to with the host, he has been very good work with. I am just asking in terms of future expectations.

Hell man, you made it sound like you asked and wern't happy with the price. If you're just looking towards the future then all you gotta do is ask them. Whats the worst that can happen.
