  • Exotic Car Rental

I had no idea where to place this topic, so excuse me for putting it here.

A buddy wants to rent a Lambo for his 25th birthday. I was curious, have any of you rented an exotic car in Vegas? Not speaking about racing one for a few laps at the race track. Meaning rented for a day or more.

If so, can you tell me, aside from the initial rental charge:

How much were you hit with for insurance?

How much of a deposit did you need to put on your credit card?

    Any other charges or issues?

    Thanks.

The real question should be "why"...no one will see you in the ride...and you'll be stuck in traffic....Vegas is the great "normalizer", you're left with your wallet, your looks and your game.

Now if I could just drive up in the Lambo directly to Encore Beach Club

I'd skip the car... traffic is really crappy and Vegas is the most accident-prone city in the US or something like that. Nothing worse than having to handle an accident with a super-expensive car while on vacation

yea luxury cars on the strip and hotel valets are a dime a dozen anyway. a better time would be taking that rental $ and putting it towards a nice table at a hot club. if you must arrive somewhere in style I would use a limo.

LOL, True.... Dude just always wanted to drive a Lambo. I personally wouldnt do it. I would rather blow the money on 1 blackjack hand, or roulette spin. At least I have a CHANCE at leaving with something when its done.

If he really wants to drive a Lambo, go do exotics racing. They've recently added an Avendator to their stable, and a few laps in that will be more fun and cheaper than doing a rental and sitting in traffic on the strip.

Anytime I see someone on the strip in a Lamborghini that looks under 30 I automatically think 'rental'.

If he does end up renting one, take it out in the country and enjoy driving it, instead of sitting in traffic wasting $$. Just my opinion =)

They usually have significant mileage restrictions so going too far out of town isn't going to work well. For the more expensive cars they're going to want you to get a statement from your insurance company that they will cover the car in question or make you pay for their insurance.

                      +1

don't think you're really gonna be able to open it up on the strip, and even if you see some daylight, you might see some blue and red lights behind you after you put the hammer down...

I was staying at TI, and early friday morning I hear the whine of a big engine. look out the window and see a green lambo moving down the strip. "meh" i thought. 10 min later, I heard it again. Look out the window and see the same car coming back down in the opposite direction. "lame" I thought. 2 min later, I heard the car again, this time going back south. "lol" i thought. The poor guy went up and down the strip like 5 times trying to "show off" his rental.

You have to put down $2500 on most of the tier 1 rentals. Most of the Ferraris that I've seen listed are a little dated. No 458s and no Aventador, just 360 modenas and gallardo and such. Still a slight wow factor but not worth the price they want. Your insurance will cover it you just have to show them a current insurance card. Limited to 100 miles a day and they have sensors that can tell if you redline it that will shut the car off.

I'm driving the Aventador/458/GT-R at Exotics racing in early April. I'll let you know how it goes.

If you go to enterprise exotic car rental las Vegas in the search engine. They got some pretty nice cars there. They won't be lambos but they have Porsche's, Jaguar XK and Mercedes SL500. They all have pretty good prices on them. If your looking to rent a pretty nice car.

He'll get to drive 3-6 exotic cars over a few hours/half day depending on the package and it wont cost him thousands.. They have some really good reviews online!

I've thought about doing this in the past and it just isn't worth it in Vegas. Exotic track day would be a better option.
