Doing the "up all night"

I've done this before. You arrive at 11pm and don't check in until the next day.

Sometimes it's been very easy and other times not so much. Not only are you exhausted but your next day is shot too since you're spending it in bed, not getting a great sleep because it's the middle of the day and you're in Vegas (and thus excited), and so the next night you're still tired.

If you arrive around 11pm or later on Thursday, I say go for the all nighter with a Friday check in. As long as you have slept on the plane before hand, this should be easy to do, UNLESS you get stooopid drunk early on in your adventures. Then you will probably want to pass out before your room is available.

If you arrive in the afternoon or early Thursday night, an all nighter could mean 18 to 20 hours in the streets with no home base. That could be rough. Because if you hit it hard that night, your next day or 2 could be ruined because you have to recover. And you dont want to be recovering or sleeping when the rest of your crew is just arriving.

I say look for specials and just grab a spot for your home base (for security) like IP, Excalibur, Lux, or Bill's. Just a place to crash on emergency. It will be cheap since you can split the room, and well worth the option IMO.

I didn't take into consideration that we would have our bags with us the whole time, and that would probably prove to be a bigger pain in the ass than anticipated. That said: Bally's or Hard Rock?

you could always give you bags to the bell hop so that isnt a big deal (if you really want to do an all nighter)

It's 8am. You've been drunk, sobered up, gone through that disgusting phase where you were sort of hung over and now are drinking again without any downtime, and then sobered up AGAIN. You made $300 playing black jack but lost it all + $200 more to a stripper way back at 5am. Now you're sitting at the dennys across the street from the city center staring at your grand slam, wondering if bacon is gonna make your stomach feel better.. or worse.

...and your room won't be ready for another 6 hours.

my advice.. get a cheap ass room, even oone off the strip if you want. If you don't use it, it's only $30 downthe drain.

I try to sleep between 4-5am-ish to 9am-ish every day.

Done the all nights before. Rest of the weekend is hurt a little bit.
Save the all nighter for Sunday night when your final destination is the airport.

I swear I've lived through this exact scenario in Vegas. Just replace Blackjack with Craps, and Dennys with a food court Burger King

horrible idea. You need to sleep at least a little bit to be in a good minset for pool parties. even 3-4 hours. by that time in the morning, even if you wake up at 11pm and go all night, you will start naturally get in a weird state of mind.

I've been to strip clubs until about 8am, but they kick you out if you fall asleep at your chair.

spend the 80-100 bucks for a room somewhere decent on the strip that's close to everything. that's a few rounds of drinks, big deal. stay at ballys so you won't need to get a cab to get to the cosmo...good luck checking in at 10am too. You can sometimes do it I guess.

I agree with most of what was said, I've unintentionally done an all-nighter just binge gambling the whole time and getting back to my room at around 10am. Got plenty of sleep before hitting the clubs that night, but felt hazy and not really into it the whole time. It's weird how one night without sleep can affect your whole trip

I have the solution. Find a super hot girl. Spend the night in her room. Get her to order room service for breakfast. Say you just running down to the gift shop to get her some flowers as a thanks and than disappear. Free room + action from a hottie. Problem solved. You are welcome
