  • Mid-week Couple Advice

Long time lurker, fist time poster. I would like to say thanks for all of the advice I've already read through and I'm hoping for a little more...

I'll be going to Vegas for my 2nd time in April. The trip is Sun-Thurs and will be with my fiancee. We are both 23 and I am wanting to show her a good time. We're both pretty into gambling and I'm down with that scene but need some club advice.

Last time we were in Vegas, we did bottle service at Moon with a big group on a Saturday. However, I have no idea where to go mid-week and if bottle service is worth it for 2 people. So, my questions are as follows:

What are your club recommendations for M-T-W

Is bottle service worth it for 2 people?

If not, is hosted entry worth it mid-week? Would we be waiting in line anyway?

    Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't recommend BS for two people unless ur big drinkers and can get through a whole bottle. Otherwise, you should have no problem getting on guest lists with just the two of you and buying a couple of drinks at the bar. If you do bottle service, you're looking at at least $650 w/tax and tips to everyone. When my hubby and I go alone, we just hit up the hosts on here and get on guest lists with no problem.

Same boat as you; I'm (29) taking my wife (27) down to Vegas next Monday (12th-16th). I've only done Vegas with a big group so this is definitely going to be different.

One of the options we were looking at was LAX on Wednesday night; you can get a $50 VIP admission ticket which gets you a line bypass and open bar from 10:30-12:30. Seems pretty decent, but it's LAX....

you could save yourself some cash by gong through a host. youre girl could probably get in free via guestlist. $50 for an even ratio is a bit steep for lax IMO

Thanks - I was kind of thinking that the $100 for 2 of us plus open bar for 2 hrs would end up being cheaper or the around the same as her getting in free + me paying cover + no free drinks

i'll offer up a different opinion. my girlfriend and i went down last year for 4th of july weekend and got BS for 2 people at XS on Sunday night (3-day holiday weekend). i personally like having a place to sit and relax and not worry about having to wait in line at the bar. was also a good way to interact; another couple joined us for a bit and got us glasses of champagne. chuck liddell and afrojack were in the table in front of us.

all in all it was 650 or so with tax/tip on a bottle of goose. considering the wait in line + cover + not having a place to crash + waiting at the bar + $15-20 drinks + more waiting in line at the bar + wandering around + even more waiting at the bar...... the premium for BS is well worth it for us. planning on doing it again at marquee in june.

I'd link up with another couple on "Get Connected" to do bottle service at a club one night. Hit lounges like Gold and Hyde another couple nights, then go casual at a place like Rhumbar, Carnival Court, Chandlier Bar, etc another night.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

My wife and I just went the presale route over MDW. I am not even sure that trying to get on guestlists would have been worth my time for that weekend. I think over IDW we are going to try and hook up with some others and split BS to try and get main room tables. We are not even heavy drinkers, and we usually spend around $300-$400/night on individual drinks. Add that to the cost of presales, and we are spending around $500/night. We would love to get a minimum close to that amount, but will probably never get that since we are slowly developing into club snobs. Now that we have been to tier 1's, we see no reason to ever go back to tier 2's, even for a low minimum.

I look at it this way...I paid $600 for my wife and I to be front row at a Lady Gaga concert. It was fun, but didn't touch the night we had at Tao with bottle service. Sure we don't drink $600 worth of booze in a night, but the experience is well worth it.

Absolutely. We didn't get BS over MDW because the minimums were high. I think our chances of getting a $500-$600 minimum at TAO, Marquee, and Surrender were pretty close to zero. I wonder if the minimums are going to be high for IDW and LDW like it was for MDW?

Your wife will get open bar for at least an hour no matter where you go midweek if you go early enough. Get on the guestlist at Marquee for Monday, get there by 10, pretty sure they have open bar for ladies from 10-midnight. Tuesday hit up Joey Orr for guestlist at 1OAK, they have free drinks for ladies til midnight too I believe. Or Anthony Connelly for Hyde on Tuesday, not sure if there's an open bar for ladies or not, but the view alone will make it worth the trip. Wed night at Lavo is old school hip hop, pretty sure ladies drink free for an hour or two. I did a midweek trip with a girlfriend last April, and we based where we were going on what open bars were available. Midweek is the perfect time to go IMO, less crowds, more deals.
