I think it really depends where you want to be located in Tao.

Ill be there the 8-11. However, my party is thinking of doing Marquee Saturday. But i did contact a host for Thursday at tao. Quoted me minimum of $2000 for the main room. So you're looking at $2000 - $3000 for a Saturday in my opinion.

There are a number of locations to sit in. Best being the main room. Worst being the lounge in the first floor. Check out this past threat http://forums.jackcolton.com/showthread.php?t=11597

You can probably get a one bottle minimum, about $500 for three guys in the lounge in the first floor, but i'd avoid that. Not worth it in my opinion.

entry level is gonna be the lounge downstairs or maybe tao beach upstairs. Moat tables are probably 3k+

Tao Beach upstairs can be fun if you have a big group, but its not ideal if your scouting for women. Honestly, if you wait till the week of to book, you can probably get those areas for a 1 bottle min.

What are these like?

Opium room is a completely different room with its own DJ. Upper balcony are skybox/cabanas with that over look the main room.

@dnix...won't skybox/cabanas be like $6K on a saturday night? Might not be a bad idea to ask the host if there's another smaller group you could team up with...no idea if they do that or not...

I've read that the opium room is decent but is it away from all the action? Is there much foot traffic there? I suppose you can always walk over to the main room.

From what I've learned over the past few weeks the Opium Room is better than the lounge but should have lower bottle minimums than the main room. I recently booked a table at TAO for a Thursday. I don't think any host will 'promise' a table location up front, mine was pretty firm on us being in the main room. I'm doing 3 bottles and told him up front how much I plan to tip. If he comes through I'll probably tip more than I told him. We have a 50/50 group of girls and guys. I think ladies in the group, a solid tip for the host, and lots of thank you's go a looooong way on table location. Get there early too...
