Concert Connections?

I introduced myself the other day as a married guy in his late 30's that used to wind it up pretty good "back in the day".
My wife and I and 2 other couples are coming in town at the end of April.
One of the other couples just sent me an email about Bon Jovi concert (told ya' I was old) that is happening while we are in town.
Is the Ticketmast route the best way to go or is there anything that a host on here can do?

(Oh, and if you happen to hear of a Kool in the Gang concert coming in town, us old folks would like to get On Down to Funky Town. Haha.)

Ive gone to many concerts in vegas. Never went through a host for tix. Theyre more for clubs. You can buy tickets early trough ticketmaster then you feel like things are set. I used to do that, now I just wait till that day and call the concierge. Places like MGM and Mandalay always hold the best tickets till the day of the event. So you can always get in. I've got really good tix this way. It may be cheaper to do it before but I do it last minute just in case I don't feel like going and rather do dinner or a club.
