  • Stupid question(s) on bottle service

OK, please bear with me here in my ignorance. I'm a rookie planning a bachelor party, and while I've got some club experience, this is my first time doing bottle service. I'd like to ask these silly questions here now rather than looking like a complete newb at the club.

    1) Say that you get a table that has a $2,000 minimum tab, i.e., 4 bottles. Are you expected to order $2,000 of stuff as soon as you sit down, or can you space it out? For example, can you start with 2 bottles of vodka and then decide later you want to switch to tequila for the 3rd and 4th?

    2) If you have to order everything up front, do they normally bring it all at once? Or is it common to ask the server to spread out the delivery, e.g., 2 now, and the other 2 after we finish the first 2?

    3) Can you have more than one credit card for the table? For example, say someone wants to order a few beers (or shots) separate from the master tab -- can he do that through the table server?

    4) Say you have 8 guys in the party, and 2 of them are late getting to the club at the designated time because they were riding a heater at the craps table. Can the 6 guys who are on time go inside without the other 2? What happens to the other 2 guys? Are they SOL? Or can we tip the host and have him let them in when they get there?

    5) I've read in another thread how standard bottle sizes at most Vegas nightclubs is 1L, and not 750mL. Can someone confirm that is the case? (This may affect what we choose to buy.)

    Thanks in advance.

You can order at your own pace.
A good host will get the stragglers in.
    People can start additional tabs.
    1L bottles at most clubs.

Do you need to put down a credit card for bottle service? Or can you just pay cash?

I always pay cash. No papertrail that way for the wife to find She might not approve of bottles every night. Or "Golf" at midnight!
Never offer an open bar to a Wisconsinite... =)

On that note, can you pay upfront for the bottles and have a seperate tab for anything ordered after? We plan on paying cash and I do not wad of cash just waiting to fall out of some pocket.

We always pay with cash, makes everyone pay up front before they buy some shots at the bar or decide to put another bottle on the table without everyone agreeing it will be on them and their card. Also keeps someone from getting stuck on a tab as people flow out throughout the night.
