First off just wanted to say hi and that I've been reading these boards for a while and that the info here on Vegas nightlife is second to none. I know its still early to start talking MDW, but a group of friends and myself are booked for the Cosmo May 26-28 and I'm wondering when line ups will start being announced and pre sales will start to go up. Knowing that this is one of the biggest weekends of the year in LV, we are taking careful consideration to book everything in advance to try and minimize the hassle once we arrive. Any help is greatly appreciated and maybe the mods can just use this thread to post any info that comes up for that weekend.

Wantickets.com goes a decently far into the future. As of now, it shows which DJs are playing at XS, Marquee, and Surrender through March. An individual DJ's website or Facebook page can be helpful too - some have dates into the second half of 2012 already.

If anyone has any other tricks for figuring out who is playing where, I'd love to hear them.

Hotels and planes can be done early. However, keep checking the hotel. Most of the time you can find better deals and have your res adjusted or re-book and cancel the older higher one.

As for club info, end of April you'll see more info. Some schedules and pricing is done last minute.

+1 this - unless I get a screaming deal that i have to pay in advance (think priceline), I always book a refundable hotel room and check rates at regular times and look for deals. Last year for we went super cheap at ended up at Excalibur. I initially booked for an avg of $65/night for the long weekend; after checking several times prior to the trip, I ended up with a rate of $32/night.

Is it too early to start checking with hosts at clubs on what minimums will likely be for MDW? I thought I saw a couple posters mention what minimums they've been priced at for that weekend. I figure it won't make sense to start asking around until DJs are announced

Little help please. Coming to vegas 27-30 May for my kid brothers 21st. Got a couple rooms at the Skylofts and had planned on doing it big since it was a (S M T). Regretfully, its MDW and prices are sky high. We are gonna spend some money but i cant justify 5-10k on a cabana just cuz its memorial day. So i have scaled it back from 3 big club nights and 2 big pool days to 2/1 club/pool or 1/2 club/pool. This way we can still do it right without dropping to much coin. Its probably gonna be 6-7 guys with a couple girls sprinkled in there.

I need advice on where to go for these nights and days. I am seeing a ton of electronic music and i really am not a fan of electronic. So if you all could guide me to something top 40/hip hop or at least a good mix of non electronic music for a clubs and pools it would help. We will want tables at all of them so if you got an idea on the minimum spends at the places you recommend, it would help.

All the pool parties play EDM music so it makes no difference in that regard. The clubs that play Top 40/Hip hop include Vanity, The Bank and 1Oak.

Start contacting hosts and ask them for pricing for tables. i suspect that out of all the good pool parties, Bare pool might be a bit cheaper than the rest.
