  • XS - Too cold?

I have not gone to XS since they got their whole DJ booth setup change. I've heard that the dance floor is basically outside now, near the pool?

If so, I'm a bit worried about the weather this Saturday.

According to http://www.weather.com/weather/tenda...as+NV+USNV0049 it's going to be 59 high/38 low. I'm guessing it will be near 38 once Tiesto comes on around 1am.

I don't mind the cold, but I'm rolling with couple of girls who will most likely be dressed in short/tight dresses so I'm just worried the dance floor being too cold outside.

I'm not even sure where the dance floor is anymore since I havn't been since the new setup. Any inputs?

The DJ booth is in between the inside and outside (pool) areas of the club. When it gets this cold out, the inside gets ridiculously packed to the point that they stop letting people in from the outside except for people with tables inside. They experimented with doing "inside" men's tickets for $200 and "outside only" for like $50 for one of their big DJs in January (girls were $30 and could go anywhere) but it doesn't look like they put that restriction on for Tiesto.

My suggestion would be to dress a little bit warmer (maybe jeans instead of a dress/skirt for girls) and wear a coat - if you can find a spot inside you'll be fine, but with a huge DJ and Superbowl weekend, even if you get inside early, it will probably get so crowded long before Tiesto comes on that you want to go outside to get away from all the people.

This is based on my experience there for Deadmau5 last MDW - even though it was in May, it got down into the low 40's that night. They will have some heat lamps etc. outside but it will still be cold.

I think Surrender does a better job in the winter - they put a huge tent over their pool/outdoor area and it stays much warmer than the outside area at XS.

Still, it's Tiesto...I would be sure to have a couple drinks beforehand and you'll have a blast either way.

^ That sums it up for me. Thank you very much.

So, if 12 o'clock is the main entrance and 6 o'clock is the pool, the DJ standing on the border of inside/outside and facing 12 o'clock?

This would mean the outside people can't even see Tiesto's face?!?!?!

The DJ booth was open on both sides. I can only speak for the Deadmau5, but as there was a large crowd outside he spent a lot of time turned around facing the pool area. Tiesto will play to the crowd and I'd guess will do the same, so I'm sure you'll see more than just the back of his head!

This was a theory, but now it is fact... If you need a jacket, then you aren't drinking enough. *tested and proven to the extreme.

Lol I hear you on that. But its for my girls who will be wearing almost next to nothing in the thinnest and shortest material known to female-kind lol.
