Help with matching vest/tie for my shirt

Hey guys. I plan on being in Vegas for Superbowl weekend and I'm trying to plan what to wear. I suck at fashion so I'm here to ask for some help.

I always just do the good old untucked shirt with black jeans/shoes. This time, I would like to spice it up a bit with a vest and a tie.

Official color name is Lilac. From the website, it's the 2nd row 6th column.

I'm thinking a simple all black vest and all black slim-tie will do. Maybe just go without a tie and only a vest? But any recommendations would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Black vest (will probably have a shiny back) and a skinny tie all the way.

Don't think just vest will look good... Just leave the tie a lil loose so it doesn't look to stuffy.

I plan on unbuttoning the very top button on my shirt (damn my fat neck!) with the skinny tie. So I'll also probably leave the tie a little loose. Thanks for the advice.

My profile picture on here is a similar look... but I was coming from a pretty formal event at the Wynn (had a jacket on earlier in the night) and going back to the room to change was going to be a pain in the ass.... while I did have dress pants (not jeans) I felt WAY overdressed at any club we were at... again the pants could have made all the difference but just an FYI.

Ah, I'll be going with my own girl so I don't have to impress anyone but I do want to look "nice" for a change instead of the boring shirt/jean.

thats a very light lilac... go to thetiebar.com they have a million ties there.. something will match... a charcoal or black best would rock.. dark pants.. and a tie to bring it all together...

I would never wear a vest with no tie... Loose tie, black straight leg jeans untucked shirt and vest is something I have worn before... Gets a lot of complements.
