Do clubs allow fancy dress?

Hi, me and a few guys from the UK are heading to vegas from 16 jan-19 Jan and are doing a fancy dress night as superheroes... spiderman etc etc. do the clubs allow entry in this attire?

Also could someone let me know what people normally do during the day in vegas at this time of year?

Ive been before but in the summer when u just chill by the pool all day.

The term "fancy dress" always gets me when I hear it from people from the UK. I always imagine them in tuxedos or ball gowns - but no, it means costumes, haha.

The two times I've seen tourists try to get into clubs in costumes (outside of Halloween) security didn't let them in. This was at Tao and The Bank. They said the costumes "didn't meet the upscale standards of the venue".

If it's not Halloween or GBDC, I wouldn't. Although one of my buddies did a Clark Kent thing one time where he had a superman t-shirt peaking out underneath his club clothes and he was fine. The girls loved it, even though all of our guys made fun of him for trying it.

Would recommend touching base with a host first...good to have someone on your side at a club that can get you through security.

unless you're Tobey Maguire, I don't see you getting into any of the top clubs wearing a spiderman costume.

Found a video for GBDC at the palms. Day Club...but...they encourage costumes...or fancy dress. I'm now considering bringing my gorilla or banana costume just to see how it goes. Hope you have a good time.
