  • Dj'n In Vegas! Help required.

    Hello, I'll keep it short and sweet, posted before about this but we are now organizing the trip;

    There are 2 of us coming the Vegas match 1-10 who are "professional dj's"
    Between us we have resident experience at a number of clubs, one night only at many many places, along side some big names and Australia festival sets.

    Independently managed, and we are looking to play a few sets whilst In Vegas for the experience and possibly get a name so a possible tour later.

    Not seeking cash payment as I said above why we want to, but looking possible bottles/VIP for the night.

    We will have a ddj-t1 with us and Mac book and pioneer laptop. Both own cdj-2000's but as 99% of clubs here run them, so we are well experienced.

    Anyone who can help us out please pm myself here and I can go into a lot for detail, provide previous sets, mixes etc.

    I will bump this every so often until we can hopefully get 2-4 sets booked :-D All comments and suggestions welcome also.

    Niklas. Aus.

    Can't help with scheduling anything, but do you have anything up at soundcloud or anywhere else. Might help those here who would be able to help, and on a selfish side I always love listening to new sets.

        thanks for the replies;

        basically the 2 of us used to have a lot of media set up online but as he became an expecting father it was all taken down and i had created alot of pages for purely myself;
        I was not planning on playing this holiday as i have been focusing alot on festivals but after playing NYE and SFD up at the gold coast at a few clubs i have decided to have a play whilst on this trip.

        I will set up a quick sound cloud page just with a few of our mixes for people to have a look at. And Mikey, we have not contacted any clubs purely as we are not looking for cash payments and the amount of hosts and such on this board we were hoping they could help set something up.

        thanks.

                      Damn, that's actually not bad, only part I cringed my teeth to was Benni benassi satisfaction but everything else was good.

                      I pretty sure there are 2 dj's in vegas who are members , sir pierce and dj master web....right all? You may want to reach out to them and see if you can get some leads.

                        cheers man, its obviously a lot shorter snippets of songs. I couldn't see the point in recording a whole ~2 hour set.

                        Im trying to throw some more together atm but having trouble recording with the new program im running. Ill shoot them an email and see if they can help T anything up.

                          I'm just going to be honest here, as a resident DJ here in Vegas as well as a Marketing Director/Talent Booker, what you're imagining almost NEVER happens.

                          Unless you can partner up with a sponsor (clothing company @ magic, liquor sponsor you know a guy from, etc)... just "showing up" isn't gonna jut materialize unless you are a pretty marketed/known DJ in a major feeder market, nationally touring or internationally touring with a US following.

                          I am not going to say it isn't going to happen, it is just not something clubs do. They book headlining/guest DJs to draw a crowd, you'll have to be able to convince them of that. Even the local residents typically have a crowd built up, some sort of following or other connection in the industry.

                          I'll give your mix a listen for sure though, let you know what I think.

                            Cheers mate, yeah I understand all of that. Just we thought whilst we are we might be able to snag a few lower tier clubs mainly for the experience;

                              Irwin , maybe you can pass as dj ronron? Pauly D's nemesis from jersey shore? Why not
