My friend and I are visiting Vegas from 16 Jan thru 22 Jan. We're both mid-late 30s, and my friend is marketing & PR manager for one of the biggest clubs in Ireland.
We're planning on checking out a few clubs in Vegas, obviously he has a professional interest - it's what he does, and is keen to get a look around to see what is going on in Vegas clubs. I'm less interested in the workings of everything - I just enjoy a good night out!
So what we're wondering is what would be a good selection of clubs to check out in terms of getting a good idea of latest innovations in Vegas clubbing? Any amazing new sound/light systems, any must see clubs? (I know, I should have got him to do the post given he's the industry guy - I'm just a journalist but I know from when I did a travel piece on Vegas it helps to ask in advance).
Wondering if anyone on here has any suggestions? Also wondering how busy the clubs are likely to be this time of year? Are we going to have to look at getting bottle service to get in to most places (guessing the best places will be difficult to walk straight into which could get expensive, given there's just the two of us) or are we better just popping along?
Alternatively, anywhere that is overhyped and not worth bothering with?
The club plays a mixture of music depending on which night of the week it is, from commercial to more specialist, but is very much geared towards 18-30 year-old crowds, and has hosted private parties (not PAs) for all sorts from Gaga to Rihanna (which probably isn't that big a deal in Vegas, but for a club in Ireland shows you're doing something right).
Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed.
Cheers
