  • Is a passport fine for ID at clubs/bars

Lost my drivers license, will be there in 2 weeks.

Should have my license mailed to me then but if not will my passport be fine at all the major clubs/bars?

    Thanks in advance

I think as long as you carry your passport w/ picture of course, and other forms of identification (like credit cards in your wallet) with you, you'll be fine.

They would only accept Passports in some places for us, might have been because we had international drivers licenses.

I've used passports many times throughout the years when I stupidly misplace my wallet, never had an issue.

I turn down international drivers lic because its not a US government ID. Since i almost always have casino security and LVMPD outside my venue, i just check with them and if they say yes or no, thats what goes. but with a passport your good.

I once had my passport turned down at a grocery store because it doesn't have your height/weight on it. I looked at the clerk and told them if my passport is good enough to get me into to the damn country, it *better* be good enough to prove my age. she let it slide "this one time". Only time i've ever had an issue.

I've used my passport literally hundreds of times. Never an issue. Easier to get a drivers license fake-id than a passport fake-id IMHO.

Nothing worse than losing your passport while on vacay....

Though on one trip I did lose my wallet (not passport) the last day in Vegas... Showed up in my mailbox a few days later, mailed from the Venetian.

Used passport often in many places. Like someone said, its good enough to get you into this country, why should shouldnt it be a problem anywhere else.

I've been wanting to get that Passport card. Just looks cool and different.haha. I stopped crossing the border going to TJ a couple years ago so I wouldnt have used it much.

Been there, done that, negotiated with a Dutch prostitute for its return with the police watching.
