Any Advice for a 1st time Vegas goer

From looking around this site am I correct in these assumptions:
A total of 4 guys going from Jan 6-10. Basically it looks like a bottle of vodka costs btween 400-500 at the clubs listed below and they mostly have a 2 bottle minimum. This does not include tax of 8% and grutuity of 20% averaging 575 per bottle with grat and tax.

Fri-The Bank or Rain
Sat-Pure
Sun-Tao or Tryst
Mon-X/S

Are these prices minimums accurate? Thoughts on the club choices?

If there is a night we don't get bottle service how difficult is it for a group of 4 guys to get in? What is the best way to go about it? Call ahead to try and get on a guest list if available and if not just show up early?

but also, if you are four guys in a group buying bottles, you should be pairing up w/ some girls while in the line... get in faster, better table (assuming no grenades).

I recommend replacing Pure with 1 OAK.

The prices and min's sound right. 4 guys is the worst number IMO since it tips you over to the second bottle It may be a slow week, so who knows, maybe you can get a deal sunday/monday unless CES is packing everything up.

+1 on replacing Pure with 1OAK - newest club in LV so it will have the buzz factor still going

I'd go for the bank instead of rain

Sunday is a hard call, i've never been to either of those places on a sunday.. you might want to try LAVO, that's where i'm looking at (that or xs)

yea, always try to call ahead for GL. As for 4 guys getting in... you shouldn't have a problem.. it's more like "how long will you wait in line" rather than "will we get in". Having girls helps. Looking good helps. Grease helps. Having a table is king =)

I'd go to Moon over Rain actually. Something about that roof opening and them making it snow inside the club just has this wow factor to it. Plus the view from the balcony there is amazing. Talk to Phil Loomis as he got us all kinds of deals.

Also don't forget about GhostBar DayClub on Saturday during the day. Seriously don't miss it. It's insane. Probably one of the best/craziest parties I have ever been to. If you need more details find my trip report with it in it.

Oh and skip Pure. Go someplace else.

They make it snow at Moon? Do they just do this on the weekends in the winter? I haven't been there in a while

welcome to the boards! You're correct on the minimums. If you want more specifics, check out the bottle service pricing thread, or check out http://sheetsvip.com/ , which has got menus and floorplans for most of the popular clubs. Oh, and don't forget to tip your host, too!

Re which club to go to, it all depends. What type of music/crowd do you like?

All clubs are open on Fri/Sat. If you're looking for dance music, Marquee, Surrender and XS are your best options. I think Rain is closed for a refit in the new year? Most other clubs will be a mix of top 40 / hip-hop and mashups. If you're into R&B, might want to check out Crown at the Rio.

On Sunday, Vanity, Bank and Lavo are your three best options. Both Tao and Tryst are closed Sunday, only open Thurs-Sat.

XS and Marquee are the two options on Monday. Both are likely to be more top 40 orientated on a Monday night, depending on which DJ is spinning.

Tryst is not open on Sun. Don't think Tao is either. You should be able to get 1 bottle mins that week. Thomas Gorman will even comp you a bottle with a table If decide to go to Pure. It's still slow season and it's the weekend after NYE. Your schedule is a 1 bottle min schedule.

I was there twice on my last trip. The first time I was in the main floor of the club and yes it snowed. There wasn't snow in the forecast and it was like 40+ outside so it had to be man made. The second night we were in the upstairs portion and weren't really paying attention for it.

Other than NYE 4 guys should be able to slide in with either 1 bottle or a deal if you look around & talk to several hosts

I will be in Vegas on Jan 19 to 22nd. Whats time does the day party start and go until at GhostBar? Is it as good as the hype?
