Stupid Lavo questions...

Haven't been to Lavo, but I'm flying in Wednesday afternoon and was trying to see what I could do that night, and it seemed interesting (and possibly more important, open).

Lavo is like Tao in that eating in the restaurant gets you into the nightclub afterwards quickly with no cover, right? Anyone try the food there, is it any good?

Also open to suggestions for other places to go; I do have tickets for Lavo for NYE so it's not like I'm not going there at all this trip. Lavo appealed with the line bypass since I'm a solo male which I believe means texting/calling hosts aren't likely to get me out of line and BS would mean finding a group to join.

I have never gone out there (I actually plan on going next week when i'm there, Tuesday night though) but I have eaten dinner there and it is wicked good!

Following up, in case someone does a search on this (ha)...

Eating at Lavo does get you a line pass for the night club. Just need to ask at the check-in desk for a wrist stamp when you leave. You'll be able to go in via the VIP/Guest List/Hotel Guest line with no cover.

Also, apparently Wed is a R'n'B night, which isn't bad, but I'd have preferred house. Although the DJ did make his way from R'n'B to LMFAO briefly to Electro House to Dubstep and finally to Hip Hop. So good DJ, but I wish he'd stuck with Electro for a bit longer.

edit: Saw an ad in Tao that Wednesday is "Old School Wednesdays" at Lavo, which makes the music selections make much more sense.
