  • TAO on NYE

I'm coming to town with a few buddies for NYE and we were thinking about going to Tao. We got quoted

$2500 for 6 tickets and 2 bottles in the opium room
$2000 for 6 tickets and 2 bottles in the mezzanine. They said the mezzanine looks down on the restaurant, but they turn the restaurant part into a dance floor.

I'm trying to figure out if the dance floor in the restaurant will actually be packed or if everyone will be up in the main room. Is it worth it to pay the extra $500 to be in the opium room?

    Thanks for your help.
    Sleep all day.

pay the extra 500 and dont risk it. The mezzanine on a normal weekend sucks imo. Maybe its different on NYE

How much is the main room? That's where I would want to be

Definitely would rather do the Main room at TAO. Not sure what the room names are, but I would go for one of the upstairs "room/cabanas". It's new years... spend the extra cheese and start the new year strong.
