Suspenders are mostly considered used for the older crowd and the larger group that a belt doesn't hold pants on their belly. However having said that I'm personally an old style preferred guy so I rock the suspenders with most of my suits however I also must have my fedora as well. If I don't wear a jacket I use a belt and never wear a tie.

Fedora and suspenders? Does that ever really work for you?

I wouldn't be caught dead in a fedora.

I have no problem with a suit, but I would lighten it up a bit, maybe just a dress shirt and pants. No pleats, its 2012. Its up to you to make it work and make yourself different than every other guy in the room. i've been thinking of trying the braces when i go in may.

I guess that's why there are different styles for everyone since i would not be caught dead wearing sneakers with a suit it just seems like blasphemy to me. However, to answer your question I get many compliments on my hats thanks. People wear what they like regardless of what others think.

Fedoras make me think of Andre from the TV show The League. And my 18 yr old brother and his friends' homecoming outfits. I think that's why I find them so ridiculous.

+1 on the sneakers with suits thing. It just looks silly.

                Do what thou will

Listen. If you like wearing suits and feel comfortable - then by all means do. I wear suits all day long. That means that when I'm not working, I'm not wearing a suit. Simple as that. Work persona, free time persona. At work I boss people around. In my spare time I drink and have fun. Suit. No suit. Easy as pie.

Your mileage may vary. Although in my experience there is such a thing as trying to hard. Just look good and have fun. Don't overdo it.

I think suits in a casual atmosphere look stuffy - But there are more casual suits that can work. Please do not wear a typical formal suit to a club.

I always end up checking my coat at Vegas clubs. Even in the coldest months."Because if you need a jacket, you're not drunk enough."

Retro is in... Besides, Bitches love nice hats. Perfect Icebreaker is when she walks up to you, snatches off your hat, and puts it on... Then you've basically got her hooked.
