Excuse me for being naive, but is this place new or what?

I was last in Vegas in June and hadn't heard of this place.

People seem to be recommending it as a last resort or somewhere to go if you are coming on a tight budget, is in Stratosphere or something?

It's not new. It's a smaller venue... in between lounge/club inside Luxor. Don't think it got much business before but looks like they've been making a marketing push the past year to get the place busy. Darryll, a long time member/host here, started working there early last summer as their vip services manager and has been providing good deals for jc members.

Yeah it's not a new venue, but with Darryll being there, it's definitely worth the look. I haven't had a host take so much time and care to make sure his patrons were having a good time. He checked in on me and my wife what seemed like every 20 minutes. It got to the point where people were asking our waitress who we were because we were being treated better than anyone else out there (and because we were splitting a bottle between the two of us... all because of the great deal Darryll gave us).

Definitely worth looking at if you want a hassle feel experience with great customer service. The crowd seemed to a little bit older than what I saw on Tao/Tryst on Thursday but similar to LAX on Wednesday. But I wasn't paying much attention to the crowd.

To contrast it, while I got great service from some other hosts this past week, none of them were at the club which they helped me get into. The personal touch helped big time.

Cathouse has been around since 2009, possibly even prior to that, I'm not quite sure. It's a much more intimate venue, much smaller in size compared to a "mega-club". It is not the same crowd as Marquee or Tao, but certainly makes up for it in customer service and amount of fun had there.

NYE 2009/2010 they had Jack as their host and the forum members who attended that year were treated pretty well, especially for a massive clusterfuck that is NYE, and a lot of fun was had. Halloween 2011 our server Jaime was very attentive and very pleasant and Darryll took great care of us. You won't be seeing Afrojack perform there, but you will definitely hear his music. Lots of Top 40, throwbacks and house music mashed up together.

It's not XS, it's not the most happening club, but it's always been a great time for me. In my experience thus far in Vegas, different nights yield different atmospheres for every venue (crowd, people you're with, music, level of drunk/hungover) but Cathouse is a great place if you're in to bigger lounges/smaller clubs. If you're looking for a place to be able to dance, drink and have a conversation with friends Cathouse is a good affordable option.

They also offer hookahs, which is somewhat unique in Vegas clubs. There were plenty of attractive people around, but I don't know if it would be better for men on the prowl as opposed to, let's say Marquee.

"Fuck your friends, just do what you want to do" Aside from the more famous, "If you're not here, you're fucking up" AOD... Epic. "

"So guys I'm gonna start planning Aria's funeral for 2011. That girl can party. I can't imagine her living in that city."

Just got back from Vegas early this week. We wanted a smaller night club to visit, and our limo driver recommended the Cathouse. His reasoning was that girls get "all horned up" by attending the Thunder from Down Under show and come to the Cathouse, where they receive discounted (or free) admission.

The current manager (Dominic), was very welcoming. After a tour, we purchased a table / bottle service and his staff was always attentive in meeting our needs, from making sure alcohol was plentiful and our area was stocked with "good scenery."

Yes, this is definitely a smaller venu, but far more intimate. There are three main areas: the main dance area with two small elevated platforms (these are usually occupied by clubgoers instead of pro dancers), a second bar / hookah room with two large wrap-around couches, and a back area with a pool table that was closed off. The music is top 40 / hip-hop with the volume low enough to converse. The crowd seemed to range from low 20s to low 30s (quite a few 21st birthdays the night we went).

We went to a couple of other clubs - this was a breath of fresh air. For example, in Pure, we found too many couples and groups of people on the move constantly - rather difficult to meet anyone unlike the Cathouse.

Dominic is the manager - at least the night we went. He's good guy all-around and he'll take care of you. We asked him if it was cool that we took his number - this is it. Mods - if this is against the rules - delete the number...702-408-2694.

Very cool report about Carhouse. I'll be in Vegas next month and am trying to get the friends on board for BS here as it a smaller venue and more relaxed than the mega clubs. I'm glad to hear that it was a great time for you and meeting people was easier. From what I've read here, Daryll definitely takes care of people but glad to hear the other hosts at Cathouse do as well.

We went there back when Darryll was working there. We had fun. Cheap bottles and decent crowd. You won't confuse it with marquee that's for sure, but it was good time. I think they offer 25 dollar all you can drink happy hour everyday. Could be a nice spot to warm up.

Probably going to drop by this place for a chill night between 10-12 and 10-16. Any one know who the host is? Still Darrell?

The $25 open bar from 5:00 till 10:00 is a perfect way to pregame before moving on. its not banging there but I drunk a hell of a lot of beers and Vodka and lemonades. Prob worked out at $1 a drink.
