  • Too many shows!

So, in the next 45 days in Milwaukee we have the following shows I want to see...

Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Hollywood Undead, Anthrax/Testament.

I need to pick 3. As I've never seen any of these folks perform live, I'm reaching out the my JC.com people to help me! Any suggestions? Any that I MUST see? Any that I should avoid? Prices are roughly $94 for VIP seating with open bar and a waitress, so its not like any of the shows are expensive. I just can't decide on who to see... Help!

Def do armin and aoki i have destroyed many-a brain cells at their shows. They are amazing and the crowd for those to are a lot better. Skrillex has a very "occupy Wall Street" type crowd (not my cup of tea). To each his own. I dont know about the other two, i have heard HU music but idk about them live and i dont know the other dude. But id say armin is a MUST, aoki is right there with him and pick a third.

Also if you have not seen paul van dyke, darude or atb you need to (if you like electro). The crowd at an ATB show is insane, the song ecstasy and 9pm make people go insane. Also donald glaude is one of the best performers i have ever seen. He jumps up on the table and yells at the crowd and he was tearing the decorations apart and throwing them in the crowd. It was AWESOME.

      Thanks Dream!

Yeah, I missed ATB by 1 night this year for Halloween. I was pretty bummed!

I like Skrillex, but can definitely do without the deadbeat 99%ers. Ok, so it's Aoki, Van Buuren, and one more... anyone else have a thought for the third?

          Brett-

What's your opinion of the crowd at the Skrillex shows? Lots of 'occupy' folks, or not too bad?

Definitely got the "occupy" and emo vibe at his shows. Saw him live once and did not have a good time. Im personally not a fan and dont really enjoy dubstep so im biased BUT i will say there was a lot of energy for those that liked it.

I give my highest recommendations for Armin if you want to see one of the greatest to ever come out of the EDM scene. One of the best everrrr! AvB just takes you on a roller coaster ride, its epic. Aoki's show on the other hand is all out raging and going nuts. Not really talented IMO but he does put on a good "show".

AOD invaded wavehouse in san diego back in August with skrillex headlining... crowd didn't seem much different...i'm guessing venue in general plays a role as well.

if you were a banger back in the day, mix it up and go Anthrax/Testament as the third show, you know you want to..

Aoki is a great show; I think I've seen him like 4 times this year alone, and #5 is going to be the Holy Ship! cruise in Jan. With his show you get to wonder if this is going to be the time he hurts himself stage diving.

Skrillex is good if you like his music. He does attract a bit grungier dubstep crowd, but it's still fun.

And I want shows with open bar near me, damnit....

                      Brad -

If you haven't picked... Armin and Aoki are a no brainer. I've wanted to see Skrillex, but I think Anthrax/Testament would be better than Skrillex. HU is fun to listen to, but I don't think they'd be that good live. Unless they are still touring with Borgore, that could be cool to see.

I would scratch Hollywood Undead from this list. And that's just personally, having seen them and not being super impressed. It was in a 300 person venue about 2.5 years ago.

                          Anthrax/Testament are GREAT!

And if you like those then you should love Skrillex. Very high energy and hardcore-ish.
