  • Best time of year to go vegas?

So, with various weekends packed in vegas for various events, thought I'd start a thread on what are peoples opinion for the best times to go to vegas. For people like myself who live outside of the U.S its not as easy to get last minute flights for the weekend.

I went at end of September this year, missed LDW, but it was still busy, includng pool parties, and the temp around 38C (100F) was ok. I think June / July when its mid 40s would be too much and I'm aware around christmas time, vegas is a bit empty.

The most important question is what times of year is vegas the busiest for nightlife / pool parties? And does this mean a nightmare getting into nightclubs if your not getting bottle service and are not on the guestlist?
    You only live once

    Vegas is NEVER empty.

But the absolute best weekend to go is May 18th give/or take a few days as that's the annual May AOD invasion

The best is when its over 100deg. LOL. Summer is always poppin in Vegas. Other times of the year is great too but youre missing out if you don't go in the summer.

            Hi mate

I'm from the uk also so totally understand your query. IMO the best time to go to Vegas is May as the weather is amazing and us Brits can just about deal with it. It's around 30c and all the pool parties will be open. Clubs like Xs, surrender, Tao will have thier outdoor areas accessible and heaving.

I've been in march, April and Early may and mid may. Next year we have booked to arrive on 18th of may for 10 nights thus covering MDW and MayAoD. Obviously MDW is going to be much busier than other weekends in May so expect higher minimums but better events at the same time.
With regards to the clubs- just arrive early if you don't have bottle service and ESP if your group is wholly males? Alternatively presale tickets for the better clubs with an event on

If you have a bit of cash and dont mind getting bottles go for MDW if not got a week or 2 before-'you will have just as good a time without spending so much and clubs will be that much easier to get into (did I mention to arrive early).

Its never too hot in Vegas =) thats what pools are for.

Besides, hotels/casinos/restaurants/bars are all air conditioned, unlike the hotels I have stayed at in Basingstoke, Loughborough, Altrinham, East Midlands, etc
Never offer an open bar to a Wisconsinite... =)

4th of july, from my experience
                        - MDW all the club hosts/ managers have there expectations set very high, so the mins are crazy (first weekend to make money after a slow winter)
                        - LDW last ditch effort to make the profits missed by a not so good summer

but the 4th is a dead center holiday, so the clubs book big talent, and since its a family holiday the clubs arent as packed as MDW/ LDW

                          Halloween.

It's like the May invasion but without Royale to drink all of your booze and creep out your ladies.

I usually avoid holiday weekends because of all the private jet folk makin me feel poor, but that makes a lot of sense... I'm gonna keep my eye on that weekend next year
