MGM Skylofts June 26th Thru July 3rd. 5 Guys from London.. Advice needed!

Hi All,

Myself and 4 friends are travelling to Vegas on June 26th for 5 nights. We are staying in a MGM sky loft 2 bedroom suite. We are looking to do 3 pool parties and all 5 nights with bottle service. We have $17500 dollar group budget with about an extra $4500 each on top. Our plan, through a host (London2VegasVIP), so far is:

Thursday Night: Tryst $1500
Friday Day: Marquee DayClub $1900
Friday Night: Light Nightclub $2000
Saturday Day: Wet Republic for Calvin Harris $5000
Saturday Night: Surrender Nightclub $1500
Sunday Day: Encore Beach Club $3000
Sunday Night: Hakkasan $3000
Monday Night: XS Nightclub $2000

Would anyone recommend any changes to this plan? Or suggest a host to use. We have a lot of friends who have used L2V and have heard nothing but great reviews. Which nights are not to be missed? I have been to Vegas twice but only with a girlfriend so it was not quite the experience that this trip promises to be.

We are also Skydiving on the Friday Morning and doing a Canyon Helicopter tour on the Monday morning. Which companies do you suggest using?

Now that is what you call a boys trip!
I get there on July 3rd and we are looking at doing very similar to your trip.

ie. 3 pool parties and out Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon night

I will be pretty much be going to all the same clubs and pool parties as you have planned.

1. Not sure if your quotes include tax/tip which can run 28%-38% on top
For example Tryst- $1500 min could really be about $2000
Looks like your at around $20k or could be $26,000 or $27,500 with tips

2. It worth having a look at dj lineups to compare events for example
6/26 has nervo @ hak, tba @ tryst
6/27 has avicii @xs, calvin harris @ hak, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike @light, etc

3. I think skylofts just does free limo to and from airport- while encore is only 2 miles away it takes some time to get between-
Hakkasan and Wet are on the mgm property

4. Most bottle service is quoted at 1 bottle per 4 then up from there for better location- not sure how much you guys drink but when your quoted $5,000 if that is min you could be looking at like 9 bottles! Its always worth talking bottle prices/location.

5. Generally Sunday-Thursday you can get bottle deals/lower minimums, Friday and Saturday are peak Nightclub nights.
For the pool parties Saturday and Sunday are the big days.

6. will just add there is a new nightclub/pool opening over mdw weekend (late may) called Drais worth hearing some reviews on that.

Specifically for your trip:
1.Realize your hitting vegas in between two major weekends- EDC vegas the prior weekend and Fourth of the July the next weekend. So prices shouldn't be jacked up that high because no major event in town.
2. There are some night time pool parties in vegas on Thursday night at encore beach/surrender, Sunday night at XS, Sunday night at daylight/eclipse, and Drais tba- might be fun to checkout
3. realize you could always hit Light on the Wednesday before you leave

Thanks for your response.. Avicii at XS is definitely something we are going to look into. If we were to go there on the Friday, which night would you recommend going to Hakkasan/Light Club? As our Host said that good tables are REALLY expensive on a saturday. We actually leave on the Tuesday evening.

Wet Republic for Calvin Harris is the one event that we wont be changing, and the budget is specifically high for that because it is one of the boys' birthday that day so we wanted a bit of a blowout. There's room in that budget for a few bottles of Champagne.

What kind of Music is Drais expected to play? Not massively into the hip hop nightclub scene.

Woah, I just replied to your post in the Nightclub section.

You are wasting thousands. THOUSANDS using London2Vegas VIP my man. Do NOT do it.

There is quite simply no need.

Im not gonna go into what I think you should do, cos I think you're wasting too much money in the days and spending $5000 at Wet Republic which is nowhere NEAR as good as Marquee Dayclub or Encore Beach Club is just nuts.

But anyway, forget that angle - its your trip and your choice. What I will say is ditch this independant host straight away and arrange it yourself. He will have included up to 40% tax/gratuity into those costs he's given you, and also taken a hefty amount for himself. Remember this guy aint there to do this for free.

Ill go through what you actually have in this deal when it comes down to it, then you make a decision.

Thursday Tryst: You have a $1000 minimum there. He will get you the 2goose/2moet deal that is $600 and pocket $400 himself. The remaining $500 will go on tax/grat and to the nightclub host.

Friday MDC: Probably a $1500 min, maybe less.

Friday Light: You have a 2 bottle min here, that is $1200. Youll be up on tier 3. Hes making good money here

Saturday Wet: You have a $3.5k min. $1000 tax/grat. He's making $500 at least there probably more.

Saturday Surrender: 2 bottle min. $1000, he probalby wont make much if anything here which makes me think he'll make lots on Wet during the day

Sunday EBC: $2k min. He's making a $300/$400 there

Sunday Hak: Ive heard of tables going here on Sundays for a two bottle minimum in the main room. He's gonna make a mint here as youre between busy weekends I imagine youll get a 1.5k min.

Monday XS: As with thursday, he'll pull the same deal. $600 2goose/2moet. He could be making up to $1000 off you directly that night.

So as you can see - even if those totals include your tax etc, then he's making a shitload. If they DONT include tax/grat then he will make even more off of you.

Its crazy money. Find the hosts for each of your venues, as you have already decided yourself and arrange directly. You will save such a huge amount of money its frightening. We can all give you the numbers you need here.

Going direct you get better service, you get better tables, you arent bumped, you build relationships for future visits. By using an independant host instead of direct hosts you only stand to lose. It quite simply is not needed. The guy will get good reviews. All hosts do. Youre going to vegas mate, its NEVER shit!!

OK so tables on saturdays are more expensive anyway. Its supply/demand. Hakkasan is more expensive than anywhere else.

But I agree with tommo- got to ask how many bottles- should get a better deal direct
Say for $5000 including tax/tip what location are you getting/ and how many bottles? Should be like a 4k min which would be around 7-8 bottles $4000x.28=$5120

As well as some haggling on the prices others have mentioned, my opinion is:

Saturday Night: Surrender Nightclub $1500 - Keep

Monday Night: XS Nightclub $2000 - Keep

I would re-consider doing higher-end BS at a nightclub on every night and just bank the money by going GA to a nightclub on at least one or two nights. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice lineup you got there, problem I find is, with just four of you that's alot of booze and sun to get through so while the concept is good, in practise it can be a bit too much and you will end up giving the booze away unless you start hitting up the $1000 bottles of dom at Wet.

You definitely need to contact a direct host. Even if you dont want to contact all of them, you could still use 1 direct host to set everything up. And you would save a lot, or get more bottles and better locations at those prices.

That's awesome! Your budget may need some more slush on the 1500 nights. And I think the taps and tips will add up so account for those. I'd also not bottle service on one or two nights just to free things up unless you feel thats the way to go once you are in the club. BS is great but I've had amazing times too in cruising through the club and ultimately other peoples bottle service (which I'd gladly contribute too)

Also, go direct don't use the VIP promoters as it's a waste of money and can also be a terrible experience.
