We are staying at Excalibur and I've got transfers sorted, we are a group mainly in 30's just want bars, clubs, poker and hot chicks! This is the outline I have so far, any suggestions welcome, we ain't high rollers but prepared to spend if it warrants

Wed Night - Light G/A

Thurs PM - Poker Tourney

Thurs Night - Coyote Ugly and NY/NY

Fri PM - SUGGESTED POOL PARTY? EITHER G/A OR MINIMUM

Fri Night - Limo trip and Hakkasan bottle service defo

Sat PM - Beer Pong tourney at Blondies or other cheap beer place in the day?

Sat Night - ???????????

Sun Day - Pool Party if we didn't go frday

Sun Night - Bank

How does that look, am I missing any really decent nights?

Skip Coyote Ugly! There are plenty of better bars and lounges, not to mention there are good Thursday clubs like Tryst, 1oak, Hakk open on Thursday nights. Pools will typically be better on a Sunday than Friday. Remember not all pools will be open and the ones that are it is a "soft" opening weekend.

I'll be there that same weekend. 13th-16th with 8 guys.

Oh and change hotels if you can! i personally hate the Excalibur!

What headstrong said. If you can afford the cost change hotels - for your age demo the Cosmo is ideal. And Thursday hit a nightclub. The Thursday night bar scene will be mediocre at best. Go to one of the clubs suggested by headstrong. GA if necessary. Because you are going to Hakk on Saturday then 1OAK or Tryst on Thursday. I suggest Tryst on Thursday and then 1OAK on Saturday.

Coyote Ugly is a pretty minimum investment compared to places like Hakkasan and Tryst though. I think they might even still do free admission before 9pm, so they could always walk from the Excalibur over to NYNY and check it out for free and then walk across the street to MGM and hit up Hakkasan. Coyote Ugly probably won't be too crowded before 9, but you used to be able to get in free and then get a hand stamp and come back later, so they could always just do that and then stop back later in the night since they're staying right across the street.

I agree though, there are WAY better places they could go, but since there's really zero investment in stopping in there and they're staying right next door anyway they might as well check it out.

If you DO change hotels though (which I'd suggest as well) there's really no point in going out of your way to check out Coyote Ugly.

ah thanks guys/girls - to be fair as its a stag do ive picked coyote ugly as 1. they are doing us an open bar $55 from 9-12 and 2. they will do a few things to the groom to be!!!!

You should think very carefully about hakkasan. I presume youre from the UK? I am too, its all we hear about here. Light and XS are streets better. You're gonna need to spend 5 or 6k minimum to get a main room table, so unless youre gonna get that, dont bother with it. There are much better clubs.

I wouldnt bother with Coyote Ugly. 100% club on Thursday night, Tryst is amazing value at 2 grey goose / 2 moet at 600 bucks on thursdays through Bobby Yeadon.

Saturday Night go to XS. Its the best club in Vegas.

You're wasting your time with beer pong etc in the day. Go to pool parties mate. Thats where the day time fun is, scrap the bar ideas, they will be dead. Pool parties are what Vegas is about.

As others have said, Sunday is much better than Friday in the pools. Best ones are Encore Beach Club and Marquee Day Club. They arent expensive, you dont need a cabana, i prefer pools on General Admission/pre sale as you mingle more. Its no more expensive than a bar, youre just buying beers etc.

Bare in mind youre bang in Spring Break season there. Which is a good or a bad thing depending on your taste. It is usually kicking off at Palms and Hard Rock for Spring Break.

And finally - your hotel - you MUST change it if you havent paid for it.

Just FYI MDC (Marquee Day Club) wont be open that weekend for general public (per Cliff Orr).

If there's no cancellation fees for your rooms I would definitely change. You dont have to go all out for Cosmo, but there are plenty of much better spots for near the same cost.

As its March the pools are limited.......hence we are planning on encore on sunday

beer pong is just a crack between the lads - some are on really tight budgets

Okey doke.. Yep go to Encore Sunday. just turn up - you wont need pre-sale but dont get there later than 1pm or your chancing it.

Fair do's on the beer pong! But really, pools are not expensive. No more so than any bar. And if you get speaking to girls they get free mimosa's before 2pm at EBC, so get them to lay them on!

Spring Break runs the whole of March, different College's have different weeks off. Basically the busiest two weeks for SB'ers are the middle two weeks of March. Ive followed the Spring Break party round Mexico and Miami the last 3 years. Its good fun! It wont be as mental in vegas cos the college kids have budgets after all that Vegas tends to screw, but there will still be parties at the party spots like Planet Hollywood, Palms, Hard Rock. Especially Rehab if its open.

So Hakkasan... OK so Calvin Harris is probably the biggest pull in Vegas right now. Thats good but bad news for people getting bottle service. Four areas in Hak.
Ling Ling room - this is totally seperate - a hip hop room basically.
Pavilion - off to the right of the main room, no view of the DJ, its a seperate area
Mezzanine - balcony on the 5th floor (club is 4th floor) above the main room looking down on the dance floor

So, you wanna be in the main room basically. To me theres little point going to Hakkasan to see Calvin Harris if you cant see him or be in the party (ling ling and pavilion) or are watching the other people have fun (mezzanine).

Youll need at least a $5k or $6k table id have thought to secure main room. Add the 40.1% tax and grat and thats $8k to $9k. Its a fuck load of money.

The prob with Hakkasan is the design - its basically all designed around those in the main room on tables. The GA people are screwed cos its a rabbit warren. If you get a main room table, fantastic - youll have an incredible night. If not, well you're essentially settling for second best. When you're still doing $5000 after tips and tax/grat for a table in the pavilion you dont wanna be settling for second best. You can take that money to any other club in Vegas and get a better table and have a better night and spend less.

I find its not really worth following DJ's in vegas mate. Its EDM. Its not a house set you'd get over here or in Europe. They all play very similar sets except each producer/DJ will probably play more of their own tracks. Dont over spend to follow a DJ its really not worth the money.

If you must see Calvin Harris do it - he's excellent ive seen him live and he does draw the chicks. But be prepared to spend, and by that I mean you and your group will probably do about $1000 each after alls said and done on your cabs there and back and your table spend, cos you need main room.

For what it is worth Hakkasan is by far my favorite club in Vegas. But I have only been when I had a table in the main room. The knock on Hakkasan is that if you don't have a table in the main room then the experience is materially different. I just wanted to make clear what the common criticism is. If you are in the main room for Calvin Harris you will have an unbelievable time.

seems like everyone has an opinion on your trip
here's mine

1st- the easiest way to get from the airport to your hotel is the WAX bus that leaves directly from the airport to the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana cost $2 a person. Right across the street from your hotel. Also will take you directly back to airport for $2.

2. Excalibur is across the street from Hakkasan at MGM. Light nightclub is in Mandalay bay which you can walk to thru luxor. Both clubs are very close to you- walkable. XS/Encore Beach Club and other clubs are a further distance. Please keep in mind cabs in vegas are insanely priced.

3. You can probably get your group free entry to Hakkasan on Thursday and Sunday night. This is because Hakkasan is a HUGE capacity club and those are slower nights in vegas. Also most of the General admission crowd will probably be at Hakkasan those two nights.

Wednesday- Light sounds good
Thursday- might try Hakkasan with free entry
Friday day: Wet Republic is a lot closer to you then Encore beach club check lineups and compare
Friday night: would probably go with Calvin if you really like Calvin or Guetta XS
Saturday day pool- Wet Republic or Encore beach?
Saturday night: Tiesto or Avicii or Ingrosso

Ok, let me help a bit... Day time stuff first, (Liquid and EBC will be open, not sure on MDC, but if it I'd dothis)
Thurs- Opening Day at Liquid, if weather good, will be slammed
Fri- Wet or Bare or something chill or small, this will be a hard day to judge. All the pools open this day pretty much and not sure enough traffic to fill em.
Sat- MDC
Sun - EBC

Clubs..
Wed do Light unless there's a DJ you want to see on Fri Sat. Light is open the least and hardest to prob get in because you only have Wed/Fri/Sat. XS/Hakk you can hit Thurs-Sun for Hakk and Fri- Mon for XS. I'd put Light/XS first, then Hakk/Marq, purely speaking if you want EDM. Bank Sunday= shitshow, you may not make it after EBC haha.
