  • Bachelor Party- Best Time to Go (Dec - March)

Hi everyone, new to the forum. I am planning my buddies bachelor party and was wondering what the best time to go would be. Most of us have not been to Vegas.

He is getting married the first week in April 2014, so we are looking at a December through mid-March time frame for the trip.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to do pool season with those dates. NYE is also out because people (including the groom) want to spend it with their GF/fiancés. Some people have suggested the weekend before NYE, the 26th through the 29th, but I am worried that might be a lull before the storm.

Pretty standard trip… 3 days, couple suites, steak dinner, bottle service, strip club, repeat as needed.

    Any advice?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Vegas is always busy...but the closer to the summer, better.
I've been in december and january...not slow but not WOW, NYE should be good but since thats not na option...
Many people may not agree with me but may-september its like 932982x better then december/january which is cold and not so full of americans...
i don't know how march is...but probably would stick to that. Im guessing its also closer to the wedding, so another reason...

      Hey,
I'm in the same boat. I am getting married March 29th and am looking at going to Vegas either the weekend of March 22nd or 15th. It's a ways out so I have some time to make that decision.

This year some pools started to open March 15th, weather permitting. I am thinking a couple of them could be open by the 22nd. Because of this I want to try for the 22nd, but wanted 2 weeks prior to the wedding (in case I get sun-burned, etc). I personally would rather March than December - February. Pools could be open, March Madness is going on, and some schools are already on spring break. It's also "tax season" so those "no-money" complainers with kids could use that as an excuse to their wives-g/fs.

If I were you I'd go the weekend of the 22nd or 29th for best chance of pools to be open. I can give you an outline from what I've been thinking for my group, budget of the cheapies permits, if you want
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

      Planning
      2014 - March 13-16 - Bachelor Party
      2014 - June 5th - 9th (maybe) - Big 30.

Who invented the rule you had to have your bachelor party within a month of the wedding? Stupid concept really IMO. Go in August and enjoy the pool season! Vegas in the Winter is more for the Vegas gambler when the pools are closed.

Actually agree. My wedding is this October and we are doing the bachelor/bachelorette parties in July to get the pools in.

March 20 to the 23rd would be perfect since that is the first weekend of March Madness for the NCAA basketball tournament. Always crowded during that time or the following Thurs to Sunday March 27th to 30th would be a great bet.

I don't really think it needs to be the night/week before, but if I had my bachelor party 9-10 months out, I would definitely want to do another one when the wedding came around. I'm trying to organize a guys trip this summer (with the same guys) and it's been like pulling teeth.

I am curious how likely it will be that a couple of the spots are open the weekend of March 14th and 22nd of next year and what the minimums have looked like in the past for that early - seems like they should be lower.
