  • Bachelor Suites and Rooms

    Hi All

We have a group of 18 coming from Scotland next June (2017) for a bachelor party. Looking on here for some advice on the best suited hotel for us, based on the following:
    • 5 night stay (Wed-Sun inclusive)
    • Looking for 1 large suite (for pre-game, party) and adjoining triple rooms of a decent size for the rest
    • Total accommodation budget is $10k-$12k
Completely open to suggestions at this stage so any recommendations on how and where we do this would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the board.

The one thing you will need to pay attention to will be the dates for EDC Las Vegas are announced for June 2017 as hotels increase the pricing immediately. I would recommend working around that weekend unless you and the group would want to go.

Based on feedback on here the best deal will be the Venetian Bella Suites which have 2 beds and a pullout couch.

Many have talked about Cosmo with the wraparound terrace suite connected to a terrace one bedroom. I have not stayed there so I can't give you much more than that.

Happily sponsoring the Las Vegas economy since July 1996

What's your experience like for Vegas? Have you had past trips? The reason i ask is there is always the initial thought that a big room is wanted to be able to party and pregame, etc. However, what I have found is if youre into going to clubs, the room because an unused value. You end up spending most of your time outside the room and the money that you put towards the room could be better utilized towards BS.

With that said, if you do have experience and the room is what you value, there are definitely options. I'm not as familiar so I'll defer to others, but the Cosmo wrap around terrace rooms do get mentioned quite a bit.

There is something to what Ryan says but I think there is value in a room where a group can meet up, spread out, and have a few drinks and/or wallow in pain and rehash the night before. My BP is coming up in about a month and we are getting the Executive Parlor Suite at the Bellagio for about $700/night (group of 30). I haven't had it before but it looks awesome - 2500 sf with a pool table and media room. Terrace a Suite at Cosmo is great but Cosmo will cost way more than other hotels. Consider the Executive Hospitality Suite at the Aria (2000 sf), a Penthouse Suite at Bellagio pr Mirage, or a suite at PH. I wouldn't spend thousands per night on the room (any room - like Ryan said, there are better uses) but I think there is a middle ground for a suite that is 1500 sf+, well located and priced under $1,000 (and often under $500).

For my stag we had 14. The 6 in the bridal party got the hospitality suite which features 2 queens a king and 3 bathrooms. Cost for 3 nights was just over 2k (I think Fri and Sat were about 750 per night and then the sunday was about 500). I think it's the only suite on the strip that sleeps 6 and is relatively affordable.

A cheaper option is to mix and match the 1 bedroom/2bedroom rooms at the MGM signature (which we're doing this summer for a friends stag). It's a little further from the action (I expect a 10min walk from my room to the MGM casino) and no smoking allowed but you can find some good deals on VRBO.

One last suggestion that came up when I went 2 weekends ago.

We booked 2 bella suits at the palazzo. We were offered to upgrade one of the rooms to their suite which can connect to one of the bella suites for an additional 150/night (total around 400/night). The larger suites are have an additional bathroom (2 bathrooms) but they only come with one king and a pull out sofa and you can also request an additional bed to be brought up.

So as a comparison, you could get the suite discussed above for 750/night or see if you can get a bella suite + upgraded suite for about 650-700/night and you'd get 2 queens + pullout (bella) and then 1 king, 1 pullout, 1 additional bed (larger suite).
