  • Bachelor Party Advice Needed!!

I’m a 25 year old Vegas Noob from Seattle, planning my best friend’s bachelor party. HELP!!!!! There will be a group of about 10 of us in our early to mid 20’s and we’ll be there for what seems like the most expensive weekend we could have chosen, May 3rd-6th. I’m feeling a little pressure to make sure it goes perfectly, which is why I’ve resorted to shamelessly asking the Internet for advice.

Anyways, I’m going to rattle off a bunch of questions I have. If you could answer any of them, I would highly appreciate it. Our living situation down there will be most important in terms of being central on the strip and around other young energetic people looking to go hard the entire weekend. 90% of the group will be single so we are looking to be/room around attractive young women as well (Cosmo?)

    Here are the details:

    -Bachelor Party May 3rd – May 6th
-About 10 guys from Seattle - early to mid 20s
    -Which hotel? (Thinking Cosmopolitan)
-What clubs? Sunday clubs for Cinco de Mayo?
    -Daytime activities?
    -Food suggestions?
    -How’s golf in Vegas? Busy?
-Best Transportation? Taxi, Bus, Limo, or Party Bus?
-Any shows that are a must see?
    -Which strip clubs/ gentleman’s clubs?
-Any website I should visit for Vegas info?

We are leaning towards the Cosmopolitan, Planet Hollywood or Aria so far. I’ve personally stayed in the Vdara but got the feeling it was a more business oriented hotel. Looking to switch it up this trip and party with the best. Again, any feedback will be great. Don’t worry about the price tag; just let me know what you think.

Thanks for your help. Any input is appreciated.

Don't think it's the most expensive weekend you could have picked especially when it comes to partying compared to the holiday weekends but I assume the weekend is so expensive due to the Mayweather fight, so there is the first thing you could do if you are into boxing and got the money to spend. I am not really into boxing but I did take in one of the big fights at MGM once and it was an awesome time.

As to hotels the Cosmo is definitely a great choice for what you are looking for, otherwise PH would work too for a little less money. You could also look into Elara as a lot of people on here seem to like it, but I haven't stayed there myself yet. It's adjacent to PH so the location is good.

As to food way too many good options to list. Take a look at the forum here for that stuff and you should be able to get some great ideas.

Clubs depends on what you are looking for, but the hottest clubs in my humble opinion are Marquee, XS, Surrender, Tao and Tryst. And then there is the addition of Light at Mandalay Bay that I personally want to check out and of course the elephant in the room that is called Vegas Nightlife, which is Hakkasan at the MGM, but they haven't announced an opening day yet so it may not be open by the time you are there. Specifically for Sunday XS has always done me right. Favorite dayclubs are Marquee, Encore and Wet Republic for me.

Stripclubs I would check out either Spearmint Rhino or Sapphire.

Transportation, not sure what you are looking for. From the airport with 10 people at a bachelor party if you all arrive together, it might be worth looking into a limo, its a nice touch. To get around Vegas cabs or your feet will do, unless you want to do some kind of tour then a party bus might be fun. Also some of the strip clubs offer transportation from your hotel to their club, but don't know if it is worth it as I have never done it.

For non party related daytime activities you could check out some of the websites like vegas.com, thet got everything from gun range shooting packages to trips to the grand canyon. They also have all the shows listed there, my two personal favorites are O and Love by Cirque de Soleil at the Bellagio and Mirage respectively.

Lastly concerning golf I have no clue as I haven't played in years but I believe the closest course to the strip is the one at the Wynn Hotel.

Hope this helps and let us know if you have any more specific questions.

Should be a busy weekend with the Fight and Cinco De Mayo
      So far announced:
May 4th Steve Angello EBC Kaskade marquee-night
May 5th Avicii EBC Kaskade Marquee day

Light and Hakkasan the two new clubs should both be open watch for big lineups from them XS and every other place on the strip Wet Republic, Rehab, Tao, etc etc etc

Start thinking about budget! You could be getting cabana's at pool parties and tables at nightclubs everyday. Or you could be getting presale tickets for some. Or you could be doing free limo ride/free entry strip clubs. Realize in Vegas you could "go broke"-spend all your money- at one party! In Vegas you can party/spend money 24 hours a day/7 days a week-pool parties/nightclubs/strip clubs /restaurants/shopping/gambling. Not to mention you could go 5 star hotel or just a place to sleep.

        Perfect answer.

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

          Here's my advice.

Hotel: Stay at or near Planet Hollywood. I stayed at PH in 2011 and that hotel/casino was bumpin' at all hours. When we left for the clubs it was full of attractive young females and when we returned, it was the same thing. I have never stayed at Cosmo, but the JC crowd can't be wrong on that account.

Clubs: It sounds like you'll be in Vegas for Fri-Mon, so you really can't go wrong when it comes to clubs. Stick to the top clubs (i.e. Marquee, XS, Tao, Surrender). I'm planning bottles at TAO on May 11 with a lot of help from Chris Traer(VIP host at TAo). He was able to get my group of 7 a great min. for a Saturday night in the main room. We were also given a great min. from Anthony K at EBC for Friday. Go the bottle service route and live like kings for the weekend.

Daytime Activities: Our group's plan for the sunshine is golf thurs, ebc fri and gun range on sat

Food: Start the trip off right and go for a steak on the first and last nights. I've heard that STK at Cosmo is very popular and trendy. I had a great meal at N9NE in the Palms and it's definitely on the itinerary for the next trip.

Golf: I personally haven't golfed in Vegas, but from everything I've read on tripadvisor, Desert Pines offers a decent course for a reasonable price at $70 for an afternoon round. It's also only 10 minutes from the strip.

Transport: Get a limo to pick you up from the airport. It starts the trip off nicely and see if Bella Vita limo's still does the 1.5 hour JC special. I believe it includes a bottle of champagne as well.

Shows: I always plan to see one, but always get way to drunk and simply get sidetracked grinding some hussy in Casino Royale at 4PM after good run on the craps table.

Strip Clubs: I don't have experience here, so I referred to my JC brothers and they led me to Spearmint Rhino. Allan Chang's got my group connected to a B2G1 for Thursday night. Shit's gonna get crazy.

Websites: You're currently on the best site for anything/everything Vegas. Tripadvisor might help with the old people stuff.

All the best.... PM if you need host contacts.

I appreciate all of the input you guys. It helped a great deal. Making some moves and putting some things in concrete over the next 48 hrs thanks to you guys.

I wish I was attending the Mayweather fight but that’s a bit optimistic for such a big group of us.
I took your advice on looking at the Elara and am now leaning that way. The cosmo’s location, balconies and overall environment still have me on the fence though. I really appreciate you tipping me off on that hotel.

I think we will stagger the bulk of our spending. Splurge in the daytime once and save it for nighttime the other days. Gotta be conscious of the spending early in the trip not to bankrupt the group as it will be most peoples first time.

I think if we don’t golf the first day I doubt we will have energy during any of the other two days. Might pass up on being out in the desert sun for that long without a pool and females… Ill definitely be looking in to Bella Vita for a limo, it only seems necessary.
