  • Bachelorette help needed!

    Hi,

My friends and I are traveling to Las Vegas from Australia for a Bachelorette party, there will be 9 girls in total. I just have a few questions:

Is the Palms a good place to stay or can anyone recommend somewhere else? I have been given a great rate of $398 per night for a 2 bedroom suite which would accommodate all of us but if anyone can suggest somewhere else that is worth looking in to?

Is it worth paying to have someone organise everything ie. Limo, dinner, club entry, bottle service (do not understand this concept at all) etc. Can anyone recommend a good company to go through for this?

We will be staying for 2 nights, probably want to do a tour of the strip on the first night, a male review, dinner, clubs etc. and on the second night a little more laid back, possibly dinner and a show and then just figure out plans from there. We are going to be there on August 4th and 5th.

    Thanks in advance.

Palms is off the strip and "savings" would be eaten up in taxi fare and time. I would recommend Planet Hollywood, Cosmopolitan, or Aria if you are looking for something with a younger crowd and great location (May not be a 2 BR suite though). Venetian and Palazzo are good options as well since they have rooms (Bella Suite) that sleep 3 people.

I personally would not recommend any of those "VIP services" sites that are online. You can do most of the things yourself and there are MORE than enough contacts on this site to take care of your needs (no perv).

    Limo company - Presidential Limo

Make dinner reservations by either calling the restaurant or using Opentable.com. You have LOTS of time until your trip, so reservations should not be a problem.

For club entry/bottle service, contact the Host on the front page or others mentioned in the Nightlife forum.

Questions about anything else, search around the forums here or just ask.

    Good luck!

Agree with RD...stay on strip if possible. As far as someone to set everything up for you...just post any questions you have here and give us an idea of your budget for each night. There are plenty of folks here that will help you for free.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Thanks for all your responses. I'm glad I came on here and asked because I actually had no idea that The Palms was a 15 minute taxi to the strip, in the pictures on their website it looks like it's right in the middle of everything. I have sent off some emails to a few other hotels to ask for prices. Also, thanks for telling me to steer clear of the VIP sites, I thought it was just an easy way to do things but I guess the prices might be marked up a bit? I think if we just hire a limo for a few hours and organise our own things then we should be fine. Any recommendations for good restaurants? I'm sure most cater to dietary requirements?

Sophie, I will definitely email you about OG once we have some plans set in stone, thanks. And I'll contact Planet Hollywood, I saw they have PH Towers or something? But I'm not to sure if they rent them out anymore thought that would be perfect for us.

Can you recommend which clubs are worth going to? Last time I was in Vegas I was 18 and with my family so I have no idea. Is it worth buying tickets for club entry or is that something we can take care of when we are there. I have read a lot that people say if you are a group of good looking girls then not to bother with it. I'd like to say that we are all good looking by Australian standards but not sure by Vegas standards.

Also, can you recommend day spas for the second day that we are there? Is this something I should book in advance or book it that day if we feel up to it (might be to hungover)?

        Thanks again

Tao and the Light Group have bachelorette packages that look pretty cool. I was digging into these a few years ago when planning my friend's bachelorette.

On this link, you can see all of Light Group's clubs and restaurants, and the link for bachelorette packages is on there too.
          http://lightgroup.com/las-vegas/

          Here's the one for Tao.
          http://taolasvegas.com/

Also, if you choose a different night club, the direct host that's listed on the front page should also be able to help with dinner and whatnot.

I would run with these options before you go buying tickets for entry. Worst case, if you don't do bottle service, you can get on a guest list, and not have to pay entry at all.

Looks like your dates are a Sunday and Monday. The Bank is pretty crazy on Sundays. Personally, I'm not a fan, but I've also never had bottle service there. It's small and insanely crowded. Bottle service is a must if you want room to breathe. Others can recommend clubs for Monday, but you might want to hold off on putting anything in stone until a few months out because there could be some new clubs open by then.

Also, don't forget about the pools!! It'll be prime pool season in August, you can't miss those.
Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

Also, the Chippendales show is totally worth seeing. I thought it was going to be lame and creepy, but it was a blast. I've never laughed so hard in my life.

Thanks Moezilla, I've seen the Tao packages which look great but not the ones for light group so I will definitely look into those as well. I've read a bit about the pool parties, do you have to pay to get in to them or if you are staying at that hotel do they just let you in? Also, I've found a good rate for MGM and I think they have new club opening soon, so again if you are staying at the hotel is it easier to get into the club? We were thinking of Chippendales then one of the girls suggested Zumanity...only because we all want to go to Cirque du Soleil and it would hit two birds with one stone, thoughts?

I would recommend the Elara for nice, big accommodations. It's at the former PH Towers which is basically right on the strip (part of PH) and we got a 3br (all king beds) with a queen pullout couch for 9 guys for a bachelor party at $611 per night. There is no other place on the strip that can come within $1,000 for the size and number of bedrooms that we got. I'd say its hands down the best deal for large groups.

I have also been looking around for large group/suite accommodations...I have to agree that the Elara at PH is a pretty solid deal. someone else in our group also had luck with the new suites at MGM....they are calling them the skyline marquee and skyline terrace suites. the marquee suite is particularly big. now we just need to decide between the two properties. good luck.

Alright I've been researching like crazy over the last few months, trying to find the best deals etc. It is so bloody hard trying to plan a Bachelorette party from another country, my phone bill is going to ridciulous. So narrowed a few things down and would love your thoughts?

Hotel: Planet Hollywood 2 Bedroom Panorama Suite - Quoted $1582.56 for three nights including resort fees and taxes
or Cosmopolitan Terrace Studio 2 Queens - Can't remember the rate but it worked out to be about $100 each per night

                    Dinner: Koi at Planet Hollywood
or Jaleo at Cosmopolitan (really stuck on where to eat, friends don't want to eat at STK)

Show: Thunder From Down Under (Because my friend is marrying an American, it will be her last time to admire the Aussies)
I got a package deal from Excalibur for $99 including VIP seating, limo to the show and entry to a few clubs. Wondering if I can get a better deal just from booking the tickets to the show and then hiring a limo for a few hours?

Recommendations for clubs would be great, and any other ideas for the night. Not too concerned with bottle service, we are all flying in from Australia the day before so can buy plenty of alcohol between us all duty free.

August 4/5 is Sunday/Monday. I would recommend you guys do a pool party - definitely worthwhile.

Sunday day - Encore Beach Club / Marquee Dayclub / Daylight / Wet Republic
Sunday night - Hakkasan (BSM has said that Sunday will be its industry night, but I haven't seen confirmation anywhere)
                      Monday night - XS

Light @ Mandalay Bay will be open by then, so that could be on the cards too depending on its industry night.

As RD suggested, pregame at night by doing a limo ride if you aren't keen on bottle service. Seems like you guys are travelling a long way for 2 nights (and without bottle service)

EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

It is a long way to travel but we will be in Vegas for three nights then flying to Montana for the wedding on Saturday. I wouldn't say we are totally opposed to bottle service but with flights, accommodation, bridesmaid costs etc. some of us are already spending upwards of $5000. Is it something we can organise on the night if that's what we feel like or is it best to preorganise?

What kind of minimums do you receive when it's a bachelorette party? Is it still based on the amount of girls? Lets say you have 10 girls ready to party for 3d/2nts. Half vets and half noobs. Can you get away with a daybed with 10 chicks or even better get an awesome host to hook you up with a cabana? I've gotten great deals when it's only me plus one but I always saw big groups of girls there too. Is it about the host or the money for bachelorette parties?
