Hello Hello from California

Hello all,

I joined a few months ago and haven't yet introduced myself so here goes!

I'm a 21 year old girl, I'm in college, ehhh that's pretty much all you need to know .Originally I had planned to go to Vegas at the beginning of EDC week with 3 other girls and 2 guys so 6 people including myself. We've all turned 21 in the last 7 months and I thought it would be cool if we all kinda got to celebrate in Vegas together. It seemed like the perfect group, I was of course careful in choosing who I wanted to invite because 1) there are some people you just can't go to Vegas with and 2) there are just some people you can't go on vacation with PERIOD. Well two of the girls dropped out over time and it was down to just 4 of us (2 girls and 2 guys). Then last week (4 days before our trip) my guys flake out on me! My friend and I couldn't afford to pay for all of our expenses by ourselves (aaah broke college kid problems) so we cancelled. We should actually be there right now. (Sigh) life sucks sometimes.

Even after all that I refused to have my precious trip ripped away from me so I decided to see if I could reschedule the trip in July but this time, GIRLS ONLY! It turns out all the girls that couldn't make it before can make it at this time. Hmmm...I think a girls only trip might be more fun anyways But anywho... My group of 5 girls plan on staying three nights towards the end of July.

I've got high hopes that things will work out this time. Super excited to go with my girls! Some of the girls have never been and some (including me) went when they were very young so it doesn't count because we can't remember anything! But anyways wish me luck! Oh and sorry for going on about my troubles but hey, a girl's gotta rant sometimes!

I think a Girls trip would definitely be better. IDK....but thats just me. Do you have any plans on what you want to do? Shows? Clubs?

Well none of us have ever seen a Cirque du Soleil show so we'll probably do that. We're deciding between Love and Mystere (the others are kinda of expensive and I heard KA isn't as good since the accident that occurred). We're probably gonna go with Love, you can't go wrong with the Beatles! But originally I wanted to see Mystere because it looks...well... mysterious! But we'll see, I'll ask for advice in the shows discussion board. As for clubs, we plan on being there 3 nights from Tuesday to Thursday. I thought about going to two clubs in one night but idk if that would be overdoing it. If we just do one club each night this is what we're thinking:

Tuesday: Drais Yacht Club
Wednesday: Surrender
Thursday Day: Liquid, Thursday Night: Hakkasan
Maybe EBC before we leave late Friday afternoon, not sure

If we try two:
Tuesday: 1OAK and Drais Yacht Club
Wednesday: Surrender
Thursday Day: Liquid, Thursday Night: Hakkasan and EBC Night Swim

I really want to go to 1OAK because we're not really into the whole jumping up and down thing. I'll do a primarily EDM club maybe once or twice but I want to have at least a mixture of top 40s and hip hop because we want to actually dance. No offense to EDM lovers but that's just our preference. Also my heart would be broken if we didn't go to EBC somehow. What do you think?

Hakkasan and Marquee both have a separate Hip Hop room away from the main dance floors. It's good to have options! I prefer either over 1OAK. EBC is the tits! Check it out.

Get your show tickets at one of the Tix4Tonight locations on the strip. Don't pay full price at the hotel for shows. I highly recommend the show Absinthe at Caesar's Palace if you are able to catch it.
