  • Hello everyone!

    Hey everyone,

Coming to Vegas as part of a 17 night trip to the US in September with 3 friends.

Spending 7 nights in total in Vegas, hoping to have at lest 3 nights out clubbing, do a pool party and see one or 2 shows.

We're splitting our stay between the MGM and Mirage, I'm so excited!!!

Hoping to get as much info from these forum's as I can as I have no experience of clubbing Vegas style, I think the only place I've been that might come close is Ibiza.

I'm super excited so I'm sure I'll be posting lots in the next few weeks!!

    welcome!
what a trip- 17 nights- in the US!
Have you been before? Where all are you going?
Are you flying around or driving?
will just mention the Grand Canyon and Los Angeles/Disneyland/CA are both not real far away if your traveling around

what days do you think you will be in vegas? and around what time in sept?
Sunday-Thursday are the slower days in vegas- hotel rooms are cheaper
Friday-Saturday are the bigger nights- more expensive hotel rooms
In Sept- August 30,31,Sept 1 is labor day weekend- one of the biggest party weekends of the year-the end of summer party, Sept 13 is likely to be a fight weekend/Mexican independence, Sept 19, 20 is likely to be iheart radio concert, and Katy Perry has a concert in Vegas Sept 26

You can do a lot of planning in advance looking at which nightclubs/pools you would like to visit and then update your schedule as the nightclub/pools start announcing djs probably around 30 days out

All the others have been to the US before but I haven't so I'm super excited!!

We're starting in LA, then Anaheim for Disney, San Francisco and finally Vegas. Driving between LA and Anaheim but all the other places we're flying between. We are planning on a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon too.

We have our dates already booked 16-23 September and the hotels are booked and nearly paid for with the travel agent here.

I'm liking the look of 1Oak, Marquee, Hakkasan & all the ones at the palms. Gonna be hard deciding on a pool party though.

LA to Anaheim/Disney is only about a 30 minute drive (time/traffic permitting). Can be 2 hours plus though .
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

        Planning
        2014 - March 13-16 - Bachelor Party
        2014 - June 5th - 9th (maybe) - Big 30.

Yeah I know it's not a long drive, we're gonna have a car for most of our stay in LA so we can get about and see what we wanna see.

There's really only one club at the Palms right now, and it's low on the totem pole of places to go. Add Light and XS to that list instead.

            Too many to list

Since you have six months here are some things you can research
              1. use www.kayak.com to compare hotels/flights/rent a car prices

For example realize MGM and Mirage charge $28 a night resort fee- you can stay across the street from MGM for about the price of just the resort fee.

              2. Free TV show tapings in LA- Ellen, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, etc.
You can visit the CA beaches
Disneyland is $92 per person per day + $16 to park the car

              3. Transportation-you can fly but if your trying to save money you can take a bus- you can even take a bus overnight to save on hotel.
              Check Megabus.com or greyhound.com
LA- San Fran is about 400 miles maybe 6 hours each way
LA- Las Vegas is about 275 miles maybe 4 hours each way
Vegas- Grand Canyon south rim is about 275 miles maybe 4 hours each way
Taking a car to Grand Canyon south Rim http://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/entrance-fees.htm
or taking a bus tour for $80 a person http://www.grandcanyontours.com/bussouth.html

              4. iheartradio concert will be at mgm grand Friday and Saturday night - ticket onsale tba past lineups http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IHeartRadio_Music_Festival

              5. vegas clubs- as an all girl group you should get in free every night as long as you contact a host and get guestlisted
the dj lineups will not be announced till probably 30 days out and the guestlisting will not happen till probably 24 hours out- but still worth researching clubs/pools

Thanks but we have all our flights and hotels booked through a UK travel agent and the resort fees are included in the price, but I'm getting that in writing to take as I have heard stories of other UK visitors not having written confirmation and having to pay resort fees at check-out.

Only flight we need to book is the Anaheim to San Francisco, the San Fran to Vegas flight is sorted.

What exactly is the iheartradio concert, obviously it's a concert but what sort of music ect?

Yeah I'm hoping to get guest list and to get in touch with PR's before we come out, although since I've been told several times that it comes down to how you look, I'm starting to doubt my own level of attractiveness. lol
