Hey Vegas and everyone else around the globe!

Long time viewer / new poster! Saying hi as our trip is fast approaching! We are doing a 2 week road trip from Houston to Vegas (Houston because of BA air mile availability)!
Taking a route of Amarillo / Albuquerque / Vegas returning Vegas / Scottsdale / El Paso / San Antonio / Houston!

We have 5 nights in Vegas (our 4th trip) and staying at the Signature MGM. Looking forward to it :-)

We are married / early 30's (33 and 30).

Welcome! As a Texan I must insist that you definitely eat some Texas barbecue. It you're following the Google maps route, it looks like you're driving through Fort Worth on the way to Amarillo? I recommend Railhead in Fort Worth (and get brisket).

In Amarillo, The Big Texan is a renowned steakhouse that serves a gigantic 72oz steak (as well as normal-sized steaks).

Texas BBQ is a given!! We are taking the route up through Fort Worth so I will make a note of that for a potential lunch stop.

Big Texan I have heard of - I believe it is near our hotel too. We have a car so even if not....bring it on (maybe not a 72oz though)
