My name is Branden and I lurked for a couple days and just joined. On other forums I visit nobody actually reads these introductory sections but oh well, here it goes...
I'm in my early 20s and still haven't been to LV since I became of-age...been twice when I was younger, at about 13 and 17 years old.
My dad is a Vegas veteran and has taught me pretty much every thing I know about the town, casinos, blackjack, tips/tricks, etc. but it's been nice to get other advice from JC members as well. He owned a strip club about 10(?) years ago off-strip called Divas Las Vegas. I was in elementary school at the time but it was across from the Orleans in what is now Vince Neil's Girls Girls Girls. Before GGG, it was Deja Vu, and before that, it was Divas.
Obviously I never made it out but he was out there frequently (every weekend or two, we live in Southern California) and I still haven't even heard the good stories... By no means is he Steve Wynn or anything but it's still kinda cool to know he owned a Las Vegas strip club back in the day...
Anyway, I'll be getting out there August 7th for 3 nights just to relax for a few days. CityCenter and Encore didn't even exist when I was last there. Staying at Aria and it will be nice to see how everything has changed. This trip will be fairly low-key, low-cost (going with a girl I'm dating, free rooms thanks to his comps) but I already can't wait to get out there ASAP with my friends and start some mayhem in the near future.
