iHeart Radio Music Festival September 19-21

Anyone else going to be in town for the weekend? My girlfriend won an all expenses paid trip (flights, MGM hotel, iHeart festival tickets) so we will be there.

We already have plans to see Arty @ Drais during the day on Saturday, and then check out LiFE for Fatboy Slim that night.

Friday probably looks like Deniz Koyu @ EBC and then Tiesto @ Hakkasan or Firebeatz @ Marquee

Just a warning, the iHeartRadio Music Festival ends relatively late at night, it varies somewhat making it difficult to plan for, but I think usually it's been around midnight - 12:30am. That late ending plus the 15k people leaving the venue at the same time makes getting through the mob of people and to some sort of transportation extremely long and difficult. I'm not saying getting to a club at a reasonable time afterward is impossible but you might be showing up at 1am or later making club lines much longer. I highly recommend pre-sale tickets but even those can be somewhat iffy at 1am or later, often times the tickets actually say you must show up before 1am for guaranteed entry.

I actually stopped planning on clubbing after iHeartRadio since I just found it too stressful to rush out of the venue and find a way to a club and a 5 hour concert is pretty exhausting on it's own, especially if you are going to pools in the morning. Usually I'm there a couple of days early and a couple of days late, so then I just go to clubs then, but since you have had your flights paid for I assume you are going to not have that opportunity. In that case I really don't know what to recommend, just know guest list and GA are definitely not going to be working options.

I went the first two years and last year I watched the live stream on ps3- I have always bought tickets not won a package.

Will just echo what max said-
If you guys are music fans you will love it! Its not really worth it though if your only looking forward to one performer. One year I went and the couple next to me said we really just want to see this one performer. The show started at 730pm and they didn't stick around till 1130pm when the person they wanted to see started.

It also is a long show- which again if your music fans you will enjoy but trying to make a club afterwords can be dicey. If it ends around 1230am and headline djs start around 1am- good luck getting a cab afterword and trying to make it all the way down to sls.

Some suggestions
1. Just stay at mgm for hakkasan or wet republic
2.The have the iheartradio village show going on saturday at luxor lot they are also going to simulcast the mgm show at night
3. realize the concert tickets themselves are probably worth $250 each to $500 each so $1000-$2000. You could always sell one night or both if your more into going to vegas for the nightclubs then the show itself.

Honestly neither one of us care all that much about the festival, so we have no problem leaving early to head out for the night (We definitely will be on Saturday). We are looking at this more as a free trip to Vegas!

If they give us hard tickets to the festival we definitely will be looking into selling them. Because it's a contest though, I feel like there may just be some kind of list we check in at.

FYI: The tickets are very valuable!! More valuable then the planes and hotel. Depending what they give you $250 to $500 each per ticket per night. You will get hard tickets. Don't just waste that $1000 or $2000. You can sell them on stubhub.com but they will take 25% or find someone in vegas

Another tip that I just thought of, the monorail connects the MGM Grand to the SLS, allowing for a potentially fast exit strategy after the concert.

We're hoping that is the case, but we haven't heard about that part yet. It sounds like we will get everything when we check into the hotel
