When you split a table, whoever buys the table pays the final tab I assume. How do you handle tips? Is everyone responsible for tipping on their own, or is the guy that set up the table (ME!) expected to cover tips for busser, host, waitress, guard, etc., even if no one else in the party is tipping ? Here's a more simple way to put it: I'm getting a $500 min table. Assuming we get only 1 bottle I'm expecting the total cost to be around $900-$1000 including tips, taxes, fees, etc. Is that in the ballpark and do you just sort this out when the final tab is paid? What if people that join your party leave early? 'Preciate any help!

You can pay the total tab up front, including tips. Then just tell the waitress that any more purchases have to be approved through you. That way you know to get more money if it is needed. Otherwise you are covered if anyone needs to leave early. We always just meet in front of the club before going in and everyone gives their portion to the person in charge (in this case you). Have fun!

You should be able to get a rough idea of what the total tab will be including taxes, tips, etc when you book with your host. Divide that total between the number of people in your group so that no one has to pay more than someone else. Some groups don't make girls pay or other arrangements, so the number of paying people many vary. Meet up and collect the money before you meet with the host so that you don't have to worry about someone leaving early and not paying their portion. If someone pays their portion and then leaves early....more vodka for you!
