okay im just going to post a short/informal description of this,
as some of you know, 6 of us aussies are coming march 1st till 10th to vegas.

One of which is a very good/established dj back here in AUS. I am hoping if we can find him a club to do a set in one night, one only as we are planning on travelling to all sights to be seen.

he isn't seeking payment as such, just open bar wrist bands for himself and the other 5 of us for that night basically.

He is looking to do it for the experience more than anything, he plays all music, but preferably house/electro.

below i have attached a few photo's of him dj'n (dj shep lee) and if required I'm shore he could do a short mix set for you or something. If you wish not to publicly discuss this feel free to private message me.

Also few things i will point out, yes he has a "manager" and company he does work for, but since he isnt doing a tour or payment he just asked me to see what i can find, and he is bringing his decks over (not shore what they are but i can find out) incase for some odd reason he would need to bring his own. This is serious, please dont post flames etc.

does sound good for a poster and getting other aussie tourists in that night at your club but? "dj shep lee, australia. One set only in vegas here at (your club here)"

I just want to point out since im probably the only one up at this time (drunk too) that when you say he is an established DJ where you are from, the pictures look like they are from a bunch of house/lounge parties. I would recommend to find pictures from actual clubs in AUS that he has DJd at, just to give him some credibility. Like when I see pics of AOKI diving into the crowd at XS....i get wet. OK that is all.

yeah u make a fair point, they were just quick photos i grabbed off facebook, the 1st and last ones are clubs in NSW. its late at night here also so ill get onto it tomorrow. he is no way steve aoki status but lol. He is bringing his own decks and id say can do a mix tape if people were genuinely interested. And fact he is bringing his decks over to vegas must prove abit since he has travel cases and what not.

I did not mean to compare him to AOKI as far as "DJ status" goes, i just meant the way AOKI works the crowd is pretty awesome. But alas i don't have any legit advice that would help your friend get a gig here but I do wish you/him the best of luck.

Very nice! I would love to hear more about this if he does end up performing. I had 5 local DJs that were on that last Vegas EDC trip.

All the majors have talent buyers and if your on their radar they would already be setting reaching out. The better option is have your friend's manager/label/agent take care of this. If he is known an waiving the fee then this is something management takes care of.

i have recently spoken to darryll and he has said to contact him after new years as its to early to confirm it. But i do believe he did like what he saw and heard incase any else is interested i can foward it all through to them. just shoot me a PM

January bookings are happening now. His management should reach out to talent people at the clubs (their job) though this sounds a bit strange.
