The newest songs I've added to my Spotify playlist (I keep the same playlist year after year, I just add on) are GDFR by Flo Rida, Time of Our Lives by Pitbull, and Somebody by Natalie La Rose. It's funny because I still have the "old" Vegas party songs like Beverly Hills by Weezer (2005 I think...I'm getting old), LMFAO "Shots" etc., and they all remind me of great times from past Vegas trips.

*sigh* as much as I love EDM, I miss that old party vibe of the clubs from "Shots!" "Right Round" and "Memories"! I remember actually socializing in the clubs, not just focused on the DJ

This is what I want in my first trip to Vegas but sadly, every club sounds like a venue for a concert

If you are looking for a great party vibe that isn't dominated by the DJ, you have to find the right DJs or the right venue. I've found Manufactured Superstars with their inflatable astronauts and a ton of nerd glasses thrown into the crowd and Stafford Brothers with their inflatable kangaroos along with shots of Jager poured on the front of the crowd make for high energy partying with a lot more fun to it. I'm just sad to see Redfoo no longer seems to be a resident anywhere, he had great party energy even if his music was getting a bit dated.

Certain venues allow for more hanging out than others, that's why I'd never choose to go to Hakkasan over XS or Marquee. An outside area is really the best for conversations and socializing. Plenty of people go to the clubs and aren't solely focused on the DJ, but when you go to a club with someone like Guetta or Calvin Harris DJing a significant number of people are going to want to get their money's worth and pay a lot more attention to the music.
