Teach me about Maryland nightlife..

I need to head to maryland this or next week. I was thinking of staying over night and checking out a club. I hear people talk about ocean city maryland, but not sure if that is a good nightlife spot?

Have any suggestions? I'll be driving so ill have a car. Besides nightlife, any good restaurants or things to do?

Seems a little early in the year for Ocean City. From my experience a few years back Ocean City is really only a summer vacation city with not much going on during the off-season and it's too cold to be a spring break city.
